I gotr oneof Bens 37" Daytona hulls and will be running a 1760KV suppo on either 8 or 10S.
Just waiting on the new HV ESC's he is going to be carrying to arrive.

Very nice runs,can i ask what setup your using in the Genesis cat.Im in the process of making a plug for a similar type cat based on the mystic cats shes 38" long and im not sure what setup to go with when i get one built,i was considering the Turnigy 3648 1450 kv motor on 4-6 s maybe the t 600 on 6 s .Could also go with twins.

That outrunner is far from the quality you want for a speed runner. It says only 70 amps max for 20 seconds... not good, Poof!

The Suppo type outrunners that Fightercat sells far surpass those motors. HK also sells some Suppo outrunners.

I like the Turnigy Trackstar 4068, 2560Kv, 6 pole motor, 2200watts.

I have one on the way this week to drop into Miss G for speed runs....

In my genesis and 32 i have the same setup. Leopard 4082 1500kv on 9S and i run a s/f 240HV. I'm not into outrunner motors, I think water cooled is the way to go in a sealed compartment. It all really comes down to fast you want to go. I like 1 motor in a small cat. Its hard to get your setting just right and another motor just adds to it. You might say its double the trouble, not trying to offend anyone. If there is anything i can help you with just ask.

What are you using for nuts with those hatch screws?

I got out for a test run this morning. I thought i would give this new prop a try. I still need to work on it. I'm running the same drive shaft that the motor mount broke loose with (its off balance). I needed to see how this prop handles the top speed before i replace it, i don't want a high speed flip to do the same thing to the new shaft. I have a vid, its not great but ill give you a little something to watch.

It is awesome accomplishment and cool that is is like one of our boats that is full scale but I was just thinking it isn't that much power when you can have a 300hp optimax for less money.

98 mph on the water is impressive to say the least. 131.4hp with instant torque thats the thing that counts the motors torque. what Im most interested in is the esc's they use. most of the electric guys DIY their esc's
Jaked1 youll be happy with 130 hp when u see how much 1 battery cell cost these guys how about 100 plus dollars for one cell. And you talking 140 volts do the math! The price goes up quick for those hungry for electric horses . The battery bank takes up 1/2 the trunk or under the hood around the motor. They typically use 123 cells

I would like to make an rc boat from a jet ski hull with that motor! :D
