I see t600 what you see? I mean he wrote it to me . It looks like he says t600 there is no t600 with 1760kv Isee what youre talking about 3 pages back but I think hes telling me that hes going to run t600's instead . Maybe im wrong. Im my adress to Keith but it was just and honest mistake and I said i wasnt telling him nothing that keith already hasnt. I know Keith is smart and i love his boats . Not trying to challenge his smarts just an honest mistake sorry guys
No the t600's are 1100 and 1400 kv respectively theyre not gonna run like those leaopard plus they have more poles so 130,000 rpm is doubtful as most esc's out there cant handle the switching needs of a high pole count motor at such a high rpm. i know you basically said the same thing but the kvs arent a's high as you thought for the t 600's.

He was talking about the 1760kv outrunners that fightercat is selling that Carl was taking about. And he was saying that the ten pole outrunners on 8s would have the esc switching as much as a leopard going 130,000 rpm.
Didnt you say they were 1760kv Carl? I would try them on 5s and adjust accordingly. I think you will end up liking bigger prop more than higher RPM on that boat. Im not sure the outrunner will run on 8s...isnt it a 10 pole? Thats a lot of RPM...it woudl be equivetant to turning Howard's motor at about 130,000RPMs as far as the ESC is concerned. Some ESCs may be able to do that....but Im pretty sure most of them cant.

If you have a strut with smooth sides you will want to take a dremel and cut some small grooves into it. This will help it from moving and change your prop angle.
If possible with your FDM hardware I would drill and tap strut bolt threads to 5 or 6mm and simply scuffing the clamp area with 100 grit has worked for me along with bigger bolts.

If you have your strut where you want it, adn intend on using a second bolt to hold the strut from moving, the second hole should be the same size as the bolt OD in both pieces. If it is, the strut wont move.
What do you mean you went from 3/16 to .187 Howard. 3/16 IS .187
.150 to 3/16 shaft and then when to .187 to 3/16 shaft sorry about that.
I thought that would work because i have 2 bolts holding my strut together. Every time i would run and then check my prop angle after it was different. Now with the grooves is never changes. I learned the hard way with my genesis when i 1st started the strut moved and broke my stuffing tube and twisted the drive shaft that broke a hole in the hull from it. It was about that time when i stop with 3/16 and went with .187 drive.

Some say drilling for a second bolt is a good idea as well. The extra grip certainly does help.
