I had to take a step back and look at things from a different angle. I have experience in many different things that make me a well rounded person and that makes it easy for me to adapt to somethings. Its very offending to me for someone to compare them self to me. I went about things very wrong and for that I'm sorry. There are ways of getting your point across without taking shots. A big head and a tight fist just don't work. Sorry!!

I'm not looking to compete in anything, just having fun with learning setups. My brother is building a boat to beat my speed and i help him as much as i can so he can do that. I wish he went with a single motor setup but he likes the twin. I'm going to build a 32 that will be ready for completion but its not going to be for me. I would like to see the owner take it to saw but that up to him.

I'm going to talk with benjamin with fightercatracing to see if i can work with him on setups. Not just for speed but to make a hull ride the water as efficiently as it can, more speed and less heat. I have both of his hulls and i will talk about them to help you decide if you are interested in one.

I got a new prop in today so ill be doing some testing to get that vid. It looks really good, i think this might be the 1. I don't know if my gps will read 120, lol. Again sorry for bring all this heat to this thread.

Howard you are a great asset to us here in OSE forums. I have been playing at this for almost 2 decades and I LEARN very much from you.

Go for it Howard...My only question is that in your runs you have an upwards (positive) prop angle as you described 2-3 mm?

Please, please point me to the post where people were "hating" . People had questions. People gave advice. People gave opinions. Isn't that what this forum is all about? Sharing your experience and knowledge gained through it with others?
Who knows. Is it a language barrier? Lack of use in emoticons? As i re-read through this thread, I find myself asking who offended Howard, and when. I don't see it. Lots of accusation of it however.

People like you giving advise, funny. When i go in and read some advise you and your boys give, that really makes me laugh. You don't have clue what it takes to make a fast boat. BAD ADVICE!! There are real tip in this thread to help people get to a good top speed. All you tell people is what they cant do, i did it and made it work. Thats to many rpm to many amps the prop needs this, right like you know what works. Put your mph were your mouth is!! My boat ride the water at 100 like your at 50 and your giving me advice. I'm not looking for you to fall to your knees to praise me but show a little respect. You boys really take the fun out it.

I'm going to give some advise from experience, don't think this 32 will break into pieces if you flip at high speeds. I had 10 flips in the 80s and 3 of them where hard hits. 2 out of the 3 hard hits i knocked the motor mount off the hull. The boat is still in 1 piece and ready for testing. Repair any light cracks you might see from a flip and it will be ready for another run. This is 1 strong hull. I have 2 more hulls just waiting for saw I want to thank all the guys that support this thread and i will have a lot of tips to come it just wont be on this thread.

Howard comes on here sharing his set-up and what works for him in a honest way, straight and to the point and a few fella's start $hit with him for there own personal glorification.........way to go ! I seen the haters coming , they allways show up and try to help with a grain of salt and when someone does something crazy like howard and makes it work then someones feelings get hurt and start hating.........Some need to grow up and stop thinking they are everyones gift on hear........Everyone likes kudo's but lets be grown ups and not go on attacking people like they are the FE police or some kind of OSE politition..............Howard has come hear to share and made it clear that speed is all that he is intrested in at this point in the hobbie......When I help somebody it comes from my personal expieriences so I do understand . I dont think theres any challenging going on in this thread. In my opinion,the problem is with typing,people cannot distinguish attitude,sarcasm and so on. I know there are emoticons available to use,but some of us dont use them. Somethings also got misunderstood between a couple people here. Lets not let things get out of hand or crazy.Its not needed.If someone is confused or doesnt understand,make sure to clarify things with them with every effort made to not sound attitudal or with a big head.Im not trying to offend anyone by saying any of this.Its only my opinion. We should all get along here,although some of us dont.Its kind of like a big family full of FE boat addicts.We should be here for eachother and do what we can to help.

I was one of the people who admitted to running a boat without floatation and nearly losing it...Is this comment geared towards me? If so "they dont really know much at all" would imply that others know something about this matter that I dont...I understand the purpose of flotation, and I know running without it is a risk, but I still did it in that occasion. It wasnt the first time and unfortunately probably wont be the last. Sometimes I want to run new builds and dont have the patience to wait for pool noodle to come back in stock. Is there something else I need to know about this matter?

Im definitely not throwing my hat into the ring and looking to get in on the bashing session here, nor am I picking sides or pointing fingers. This thread is begining to have a click-y feel to it and Im not really interested in participating, but I would like to know whether or not I am mis-understanding your post.

I am interested in the boat discussed in this thread, as I have one. Im also interested in the hatch lock/hold down discussion and encourage anyone with new ideas to bring them to the table. (Im sure the OP wont mind but if so just say so).

They are not picking on you but on me. This is what happens when guys are jealous. Dealing with has bens is not easy. I'm not posting anymore info on building tips but i will put the vid of a 100+. Whats funny about this whole thing is I'm not taken anything away from them. I don't jump from thread to thread giving my experience out or challenging them, but i could. Why should i go out 1st thing in the morning and do test runs and post it on here with all this disrespect. I was going to post some good tips tonight but then i was thinking why should i. I'm going to change forms, this is not what i want to talk about.

Dzus fasteners is a great idea,Keith. I wish they made them in a smaller diameter. Im completey for the Dzus idea though.Flush mount,easy to tape over,and race car parts on an rc boat!

They do make smaller (than standard) Dzus'. Not the spring loaded kind like you put on body panels, but just the fastener itself. Im considering doing them on my nexy build. The wires never hold well on just fiberglass, but you could put the wire on a plate and epoxy it underneath the glass...
