    that's what i was going to use but everyone said don't use a 1521 1.5d on 6s its a 4s motor... what props u gonna try ?

    one looks refurbished to me... what winding did you order?
    yeah I think it is, and I won't accept that. not with the setup I want to run on the hpr 06
    but I still have to wait for official answers.
    Am a very easy client, but some things are just unacceptable.

    PS: i want to say, that it is not Steven's Vaccaro's fault , as he does not make these motors. Just wanted to clear thing up

    guys, today I received the motors.
    they were in customs for a week. Had to go get them myself.
    As I opened the box, I had a weird surprise am going to share with you.
    I have sent an email to Steven too, informing him about the matter.
    one motor is ok, looks brand new. the shaft feel strong, can't turn the shaft easily. Fresh magnet power.
    The other looks.... used... refurbished... dirty....old...
    the magnets feel like they have half the strength. and the copper wrapping has 20 % less volume, from the top and the bottom from the other, and the color looks odd....
    and as last, the cables don't have the same color (the new is red, the old is orange)and one cable has some writing on it.
    Both motor indicate have been fabricated on the same day.
    the problem is that am pretty sure they won't have the same Kv (due to the copper wrapping), but before testing the motors (on power analysers), I wanted to get some opinions. and maybe see what is going on.
    For the price I think I deserve some explanations.
    if I was going to use them in single power boats, I wouldn't mind. But in the Hpr, I can't risk having this situation.

    Things looking better, ive sold a few things, got a full size boat with 5 people comming to look at it this weekend if that brings a good price the hpr can stay and ill get my new V10

    Malibu, there is a way to install the custom water pickup without needing to do any sanding
    But you will need a dremel, 5 min epoxy, tape, and some plastiline.

    step1.
    Take your tubes, fill them with sand, block both wholes, and give them the shape you need. Then cut with a dremel the tube with the angle as shown in the picture in red.
    step2.
    take the pattern of the bottom of the tube you just cut, best to do it on a tape, and stick it on the outside of the hull where you want to install it, be careful, check many times to see if you are where you want.
    step3.
    take the dremel, with a very thin cutter, and start drilling the shape of the tube, better to it smaller than too big, so stop try the tube, and continue. The tube should be able to fit in the hole with little pressure.
    step4.
    Now in the hull, position the tube and fix it with plastiline to a corner leaving the whole area you drilled clear. Put enough so that the tube stays positioned on its own.
    step5.
    Turn the hull upside down, and mask the hole with tape, so that epoxy will not spill.
    Turn the hull to its upright position, take some epoxy, and apply it on the bottom of the tube.
    If you done it right, you should be able to have a clean cut and no sanding needed.

    ps: add a little black paint in your epoxy, so that it matches the carbon fiber and your paint.
