Dave Im building a twin powered HPR
Good news....the motors are in and AndyG sent the to me today should have them thursday.
So now to see how these Hydro/Tunnel mounts fit, they look good, simple and light.
vvviivvv the good thing about this hull is you can running one of ten setups and still get a very good result, all run 116 kph most run to an average of about 140kph not bad!!
On with the build!

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—wish i had bought lehner's, that way i could of copied a set up and used the same volts as them
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Ok, I did think it was but then I was thinking it might be a drilling jig...Originally posted by toysRme View Postvvviivvv : im going to use Neu 1518-1.5d(2200kv) on 5S for racing and 4S for sport use.
KILLERDAVE : the bracket near the rear is a tunnel motor mount available from fastelectrics.com. Very easy to mount and supports the motor front and rear very well.
Just waiting for the motors to arrive so I can start building.
So, are you not building this as a twin? or How are you planing to use that mount?
I'm probably being dumb here...?????

Malibu, since you are new to the FE scene I'm going to suggest this:
If you are going with big heavy motors (and the 1521/1527 are) make sure to rest
the back end of the motors once they are installed on the motor mount as well... don't let the
motor mount be the only support these beasts have... on some of my earlier boats, I've had big motors hang by themselves and on the first flip motor and mount got thorn off the hull... pretty nasty, specially if it lands right side up and one throttles again with the motors laying around loose in there... it was ugly.
Disregard if mentioned already.

The HPR finally arrived, Hanspeter sent it 14 days ago in a very padded heavy duty box and it arrived without a scratch and faster than i thought.
Quality is a Understatment!!!!Attached Files

To be honest, it’s still on the girl side :P but I can’t afford to be sick this week, I have to close a big deal. That'll be 'man flu' or girl flu???
But I will probably finish the other today.
Am printing the illustrator file, and gluing it with UHU (kids glue) easily removable with water. So you're printing the CAD, sticking that onto the carbon and cutting it???
If you mean epoxy for the boat, I will use E45 with cotton flakes to regulate the hardness. And black carbon powder for the color. What glue will you use?
no no no, hand, dremel for the big parts, and then grind toolsWhat method are you using to cut the carbon? CNC????Last edited by elvish; 02-06-2010, 10:48 AM.
