I don’t think there is a question of a comparison, it’s clear to all (I think) that Germany is far beyond anybody else in this part of engineering. And being French pains me to say that :)
Not that CC isn’t good, far from it.
It’s just that Germans have a lot more experience in that field.

Am using the neu’s 1521
malibu1, the esc's are a real pain, even today all of them have risks.
People say better burn a 150 dollar esc if it is replaced, like etti. Others say better having yge or schulze that also have a good guaranty on replacement, but let’s be honest once they blow, and your riding a 2 x 6cell or 2 x 8 cell lipo config, who cares about the esc, you probably have lost the boat...
I blew my first etti 150 on an h&m sniper with a 1512 2d on 4cells and an X640, and my backup mystery has been riding ever since with no problems what so ever.
So, is it quality? Is it chance? Is it configuration?
One thing am sure off, is that I will not put etti 150 on 6 cell configuration. Unless I get a personal constructors guaranty that say their product can support my setup, and even then, I will custom build a safe box for them.
My personal opinion, and I repeat personal for you, would be to go with cc, the only reason is because you live in the us, in case of any problem, you will not have to deal with overseas, which let’s be honest even today is a pain in the ass.
As for the mounts, I designed a motor mount which I shared with Gerwin for support, and I think he agrees with me, this motor need support in the back too. They are long and heavy, with a big amount of torque.
Yes, the motor will be positioned as low as possible, (of course Steven’s coolers are quite fat, and it sometimes doesn’t leave you much space) but the goal is to bend the shaft a minimum.
Send me a pm with you email, and I can send you a 3d picture of the idea I have for the motor support.
But like I tell you, it’s an idea, not proven to work, that is why I just won’t post it on the forum yet.

Elvish, What motors are you going to run? Looks like on your motor mounts they may be located a little lower in the motor mount than what I remember my mounts being. I think I may try to get my motors a little lower also. That way there is less of a bend in the stuffing tube.
Like you, I am having a hard time deciding on what ESC's to run. I really need to get that figured out so I can get my COG figured out. I am scared to start mounting the motors without knowing where/what the rest of my equipment will be. I wish Castle would hurry up with the new marine ESC's

I would hate to see low quality esc's leave nasty burn marks and smell in your top class cat.

Ok cutout the motor mounts, and fitted them in the hull, they need some trimming but overall are quite good.
Guys, always use a mask when cutting carbon fiber, even if the work is small, I didn’t and have trouble breathing...

Team FFRB I will look for them, I think the prices are a little over 350 dollars for this class of esc... it’s a lot but worth it.

Its ok, I hope you understand I was just joking :) no harm intended. This morning got a little pm from Steven telling me the motors are back in stock, so hurried and bought the 2 he had in stock.
I think he probably can verify, but it’s been a good month am on the waiting list: P so sorry if someone else was waiting for one as well.
After watching every week a new buddy burning his etti 150, am starting to have a bad feeling about putting them in the hpr…
So I will probably sell them both, and go for a cc or maybe try german…

Have a look at Schulze 24.150 WK Top shelf at a very good price.

They will serve you for a very long time.

Sorry Elvish, I didn't mean it to sound that way. I just don't want someone like HP to get mad at me if I take away from his or someone elses hard work. I dont want to show up on the next CSI TV show! :)
