I don't have any data logging capabilities. Some of the other guys might.

I ran a ABC 2214-10-50 this evening. Another fast prop. 72.4mph and 46.4 on 4S. The water was good and the boat handled well. Temps were ok except for those darn motor connector bullets.
Leopard 4092 and Turnigy 180a esc
Temps:
Motor 120
ESC 115
Capacitor pack 120ish
Motor connectors 200
Batteries - 100, 100

Well I found out WHY my voracity was staying slow. Thought it was my strut just never could get it right. Then I had a motor issue. But today I used those same batteries in my shocker. It went 62 on 6s. I thought it was a bit down from my calculations. I was thinking about 72-75mph. Well I forgot (well wrote it off as if it didn't make a difference) I dropped one of the batteries. So it would lose voltage to about 1v under load. Long story on how I found this out but eventually it finally failed in the shocker no left it dead in the water. So I swapped out that pack and the boat went 92.7mph on one pass and 84.5 on a partial pass and the batts almost at storage voltage. So moral of the story....don't drop your lipos and I'm excited again for the voracity!32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) was

I thought he was talking about his shocker. Kfx, what boat ran those speeds?

My shocker ran that. Go back and read my whole post lol. My point was I was using only one set of 3s packs here lately in my voracity. It was under performing and I couldn't figure out why. Thought it was the motor (one of the leads was grounding on the can internally) fixed that. Changed escs. Still slow. I was getting high 40's low low 50's on 6s. Then I ran those same packs in my shocker. It went slower than anticipated at first. Then one of the packs just stopped putting out voltage. I noticed that was a pack I accidentally dropped. So when I went back home. I soldered up a new pack (reason I've only been using one set of packs is I just didn't feel like soldering up any more). When I ran it again it went 92.7. The shocker, not the voracity. So I got excited because the damaged battery was the issue. It was basically running on 5 cells and getting low 50's high 40's (voracity) so that makes perfect sense.Originally posted by arrover View PostI thought he was talking about his shocker. I'm still learning about boats at this point so some of the other experts in this thread might be able to answer you better. With the stock motor and ESC I had several props that ran over 65kph/40mph. My Octura x452 ran 42.2mph with stock motor/esc on 4S. With the Leopard motor and 180a esc I've had a few props run 48+/- mph on 4S. I would be cautious with the three blade prop you describe. It might be more than that setup can handle but I can't say for sure.

I'm no professional but I'd advise against using a three blade unless it's the same diameter as stock but has less pitch. But why anyway? The stock setup will easily do what your wanting anyway.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) was

the 44mm 3 blade has pass his test on the spartan... no heating and a super handling!! it keep the boat strong and out of the water, its push the rear of the boat higher out of the water, so no need to ajust stunt and trim tab like crazy for stability, the 46mm will give it more speed and torq, but not sure if the motor wont become very hot... for the esc, him sure there will be no problem.. i have install a dual pick up water line rudder on the boat... so more cooling is added...

No one is answering you because your posts make it sound like you know the answer, want someone to give you advice and then argue back. At least that's how I took your last couple posts. FYI a voracity is not a spartan or even close to it. So I wouldn't even put them in the same category except that they are both boats. Every Spartan I've even seen in stock form runs hot and puffs batteries with the stock prop, so personally I find it hard to believe a three blade is working fine in a stock Spartan.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) was

LISTEN UP GUYS, I want to point something out. I've noticed some flex failures (mine hasn't yet) and I wanted to give you guys a piece of advice. Ose sells a upgraded flex cable. Highly recommended it if you plan on using more prop than the stock prop and/or you plan on running it on 6s all the time like a madman....even with the stock prop it would be good insurance if your running 6s a lot. These flexes look to me like they are good quality but you know how things are sometimes, if it's human made, it can fail.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) was
