What did you do to your boat today?

Weather here today is miserable, so a bathtub test is about as closet as I might get to boating as well. Might glue up my rescue raft though...

Wow, at least you got home safely. Hope you had a second beer.Originally posted by fweasel View PostTook the new vac-u-tug to the lake today for a trial run, ESC wouldn't arm. Awesome. Put the Spartan in next, managed 46mph on the second pass (still painfully unstable and slower than it should be), then ripped the hatch off and killed my GPS. Put the last boat in the water, after I slipped on the rocks and dropped it. Cracked the hull. I need a beer.

There is a red 2" plastic tape used in construction, available at any hardware that works great ,that's what I started with ,now I use the 1" tape from OSE with good results ,I had the hatch pull off a few times when I got my first spartan ,

10/4 on those rocks, well I wanted more speed from my Zonda so I lifted the struts 1-2 mm,was faster but then blew over, trying to get my fighter cat more stable, goes bonkers when I pin it ,I'm thinking the props are too aggressive ,learned the hard way to tape the hatch on a spartan or any boat ,just take a minute to tape it and save lots of trouble,my rescue boat is a small traxxas that has a 10' string with a piece of foam tied on the end ,works really well, learned about it on this forum,
