The cf flat bar looked to me lke epoxy with the motor mount on It looks great though now that you actually have things in there. It has been awhile since i used the wind sheild urethane, i forgot about the mess it can create. It brings back some bad nightmares, its an absolute nightmare if things get out of hand. Thanks for the reminder and I will be rethinking my my plans for using the stuff. It's not worth the hastle and it won't work using a syringe as it's just to thick. I get what your saying about the aquarium sealant, using a flexable bonding agent makes sense for the long stuff like battery trays though. Its a tough call on what to use, I can't make up my mind anyways!

I just bought the stuff Keith bradley sells. It's designed for saltwater aquariums, so it's gotta be super stuff.

Did you scuff all the mating surfaces of the CF bar and the mount before you epoxied the mount down? BTW Lookin' great!!

Yeah, with some 60 grit automotive paper.
It may not be necessary but whatev. Can't hurt rite?

I mounted the hardware for water. All bolted up and ready. Still gotta do the prop.
I hope I did the stinger rite. I just have the stuffing tube come out of the transom like 1/8 inch. It doesn't go into the stinger it'self.

True the wind sheild urethane is quite messy but if you use tape on either side of the work area you eliminate some of the mess. Also true it don't fit well into a syringe, but I usually attach some cheap tube onto the nozzle and tape a stick to the end of the hose so I can guide where the urethane gets applied. Then I use another stick with a modded end to scrape it smooth. Once done i just peal off the tape, and done :-) (I use this option more when installing a lipo systen into the sponsons of a cat) but works 100%

i bet the stuff works amazing, but the few windshields I've done, no matter how careful i was, somehow i would end up with it on my hand or clothes, and subsequently everywhere lol

Back at it tonight. I grabbed some aluminum standoffs and filled the theads with epoxy, then re drilled for the tiny traxxas screws that come with the reciever box.
Basically I'm gonna glue the standoffs down so the whole box will be remove able. I know Velcro works much easier but I don't want it flipping around in there

Also, I recieved the aquarium sealant for the battery trays.
Reading it's description, I'm kinda liking it.

Withstanding a 750 gallon tank is some serious stuff.
I'm excited now. It's gonna work out nicely I think
