The caps on the V3 burned up or almost burned up . Speed control still works but the caps on the speed control itself need changing and I think they aren't replaceable . I didn't run for long before this happened . The boat cut out and so it sat for a couple seconds and it seemed to work again. I cruised it in and it seemed fine pumping water for a while . Then noticed some smoke . the thermal switch got so hot it stuck closed lol both batteries discharged at the same rate so I think I can rule out the battery harness being restrictive . I noticed early on when running that the prop needed to come up some more and I wish I just brought it in then but I had no idea the caps would get so hot soo fast lol the good news is it could have been worse if I had no thermal system . image.jpg

I think the thermal switch shorted out the caps . Half the cap board is gone and the cap is hallow lolimage.jpg
