i wont use the spray again. It dries and then tightens up, stretching and then making little tears. The dipping looks and feels much better and stronger.

I tried a brass tube, didnt work out well. Now i either use the aqua craft radio box boots that come with the tapered plactic insert or I machine an aluminum one myself. I have alot of reinforcement in my min in the transom so nothing i buy is long enough to make it throuh. it kept leaking at the boot so i ended up making a long nipple to go through it and glued it in. much better and no leaky anymore. Imagine this...the whole transom sat below water level when the boat was at rest.....yea it would come it with a good bit of water in the hull. Luckily i have awaterproof mamba monster 2 and waterproofed everything else. so far so good.

Here's where I'm at now. Almost done, all I have left is glue trays in (couldn't tonight because I didn't have enough velco.....wanted to put it on while trays are out so it's perfectly straight) and hatch bolts. I bench tested it today and everything checked fine. I still haven't found a matching 4s pack so I guess it's gonna be 7s for the first trip.

Finished the trays tonight. Got one glued in. Waiting on epoxy to set. Then I'll put the other one. Then hatch bolts and it'll be done! Maiden voyage probably sunday.

                      Here's a tray.

Unfortunately I have to work tomorrow

But I am finishing the trays tonight. Tomorrow evening I'll reinforce the hatch mounting area like I do on all my builds and then install the hatch bolts and it'll be ready to hit the water Sunday. I haven't had time to s/b my x450 prop so I'll use a couple other ones I have including a x646/3

                                8s
                                Normal 66.96a
                                Surge 133.93a

                                6s
                                Normal 89.29a
                                Surge 178.57a

What am I missing? I know these numbers aren't concrete, but still if within the ball park it should be fine, yes?
As rumdog said the 1527 will pull a bunch of current . I had the 1527 1Y on 8s 2p in a 36" sprintcat and burned up plenty of castle 240HV's... If it wasn't the motor over heating and burning up it was the esc .... I was over proped and the batts were sub standard i realize now. Just start with small props(I hate when people say that) and you might succeed in 80 plus range . Should you ever want a boat that will get up and go really quick try 4 1515's on 4s , 447 2b ,L&R , 4x T180's . This vid is the only one of my Quad Drive . It will run in the 90's all day long with the right props on 6s , I'm sure she would have poked 100 mph... And got there really fast ! The beauty of having multiple motors is your overall efficiently goes up drastically . Never did any component on this boat get warm.

Nice work by the way !
