So I didn't like the boot setup I've been using for the linkage. I ordered this snazzy billet fitting to go through the hull and it's barbed to hold the boot over it. Turned out nice.

Got the servo mounted. Steering linkage done. Made spacers and offset the rudder. I used a 4-40 rod so I get no deflection. It's stiff!

I'm close. I just got though pouring foam for the 5th time. I like to do it in layers so I get just what I want in it. My esc is finished (encapsulated in epoxy then rubber coated it lol) and I bought a new Mr200 receiver today....epoxy is drying on it. I dipped my ubec in plasti dip for two coats today. Plasti dip is my new best friend lol. Check it out....

All I have left is two more small pours, install battery trays, esc mount and figure out what kind of mount I'm making for the receiver and bec. I also want to make a couple hose routing tabs to keep cooling lines tidy. Oops...then I gotta install the hatch bolts and it'll be ready to roll err float!

I use those little barbed fittings on all my builds, they work great! A lot of the time the hull is too thick to use the nut so I just epoxy them in. also you can put them on the inside if you don't have enough room, like on a Hydro. It's a bitch to get the boot on when it's on the inside!

Yea, I'm going to use them or make some for now on. Scott taught me the inside boot trick. I put the boot in the hole facing inward and then slip a thin insert into it to hold it tight..

I'm off of work Thursday so it should be completed by then. Only thing is I'm missing the second 4s pack I need. It may have to be run on 7s for its maiden.

That is a good trick, just the correct brass tube size I assume. The dipping process looks better Travis. I have been getting bubbles in the spray cans, and too many of them.
