Let the man have his thread, he built a sweet rig, it is fast, and his GPS said he went XX. this is not a number he pulled out of the air like so many people do.

    Example:
" She was in the 70's"
    Did you have a GPS?
"Naw I know how fast 70 is"
(The next statement almost always comes out next)
    You need a GPS

    .......

If they are so unreliable why do we use them as a fall back?

Also; I only got about 30 sec of video?? he never got to run it.
I can tell you that diego and john are the last two to hate. You know im the 1st one to tell everyone to let howard run his boat but these two member aint hating. I believe howards gps. Theyre just telling you that gps can be at times inaccurate at others not so much. Howard wats nex? Where do you go from here to hit 90?

I don't have the time to read an hour on GPS's but I do believe you are informed.....Basically what you are saying is a GPS needs over 2 seconds at a given speed to measure it at a 85% or better accuracy ? How many seconds to get a good reading granted the GPS in the boat isn't violently shaking more than a centimeter ? My boat had a GPS reading of 80.2 and a NAMBA SAW pass of 79mph........there were alot of variables too but I believe it is possible to measure the speed of your boat with a GPS...............
