Approx. 1Kg to 1.1Kg or 2.2lbs as best as I can dig up.

I'd like to know the actual weight, so if anyone is building one of these and has a chance to weigh one before starting, please post the weight here. It would be much appreciated.

I already tried that Jeff, it doesn't like two 4s batteries. Too much weight, so far the best running has been my single 5100 Magnum energy pack cross ways as far forward as I can get it. It gets a little over 5 1/2mins. till it hits LVC

Ran the Popeye today on the single 4s 5300mah Gens Ace. It was a little rough out as lots of boaters today and I had to lay the Lipo lengthwise so boat was unbalanced. Here's a vid. My gf is still working camera so bare with a one min section in middle of video...lol

Lol yup Ron. Just reconfigured inside of Popeye. I turned ESC sideways in front of motor. Now I can easily fit the 2 4s 5300mah packs in correctly. Going to run it tommo in parallel and see if I can get some longer run times.

                            Looks Great!
How long can you run on one 5300mah ? I am curious as all my runs were done with 4s2p, was going to heed Doby's advice to run 4s1p, just never got around to do it yet.

I got about 5 mins run time on a single 4s 5300 Tim. I got both 4s 5300 packs in there now. Chris said it's too much wait and his Popeye didn't like it but I am solely looking for longer run times so I'm gonna give it a try...

I have a single Turnigy 4S 8000mah 30C that I'm going to try in my P-Sport Popeye.. Now that I have the new flex installed and can try more aggressive props, I'll probably need the bigger gas tank. The weight is less than going 2P with my 5800's. Hopefully it will be a good compromise...

If the water ever thaws up here though..........
