After spending the day charging batteries, lubing shafts, etc etc etc and loading up my car, when I went to go home from my warehouse the shifter on my car broke. Must be a cable or something. Had to call the wife to come get me to take me home. I'm hung up today emcee'ing an airplane event so if I can't get my car fixed late this afternoon I'm SOL for Akerman. DANG DANG DANG DANG!

You have a 1/8 too? Betweenn the 3 of us we could almost have a heat race.Originally posted by RCKong View PostI'm going to bring my DF 33, I guess would be P Mono, 1/10 hydro, maybe 1/8 hydro
Except I don't know if mine would make it 6 laps without swamping yet and is nowhere close to being dialed in. It's only seen water once and drowned the esc on that outing.
Your DF33 should be P mono as long as it's running 4s.
PS for Jim. Hope you can get your van fixed and join us.

I put a bandaid on the van and I am going to brave it tomorrow. I have tools and more zip ties onboard just in case. The fitting that attaches the shift cable to the shift lever is shot. I zip tied it on! My wife says I'm crazy but damn, the van is all loaded and I worked a 12 hour day to charge batteries, lube shafts, load the van, etc. I'm goin by george!

Just finished charging packs myself. It's been pretty much an all day job. Looks like we may have a decent turnout and should be a fun day.

Planning to run it, and the 1/8 scale hydro too. Busy is an understatement.Originally posted by tiqueman View PostDang Bill.. you been busy! You running it tomorrow?
Got a lot of the seam work done on my new cat build and made up some bushing inserts for the stingers.

Auuuuggggh!
I think that's how Charlie Brown says it.
Ran the hydro again today with much better success. It was no match for Hebner's since I was kinda scared to really pull the trigger. Almost blew it over once on the back stretch and did have it leave the water and turn half way around on the front straight. That's when I stopped since it snapped the sacrificial bolt in the rudder.
The real reason for the AUUUUGGGH is that somebody (I will leave him nameless)
pushed the wrong button on my camcorder. There's a still shot where the video should have started and another still when it was pushed again to stop recording. Got the same thing on my DF41 run. Somehow I wound up with about 20 minutes of footage shooting the inside of my van too. (think I might be the guilty one on that)
Oh well, the rest of the vids will be up later on when they are done. Got tham all copied to my computer and working on converting.
