The genesis also has a much more solid hull. I feel its a little better quality than the App (HOTR) hull. The HOTR is a very thin hull and without a doubt needs reinforced if your going to see more than the normal speeds.
I also like the hull design (under the water) of the Genesis a bit more. I like how its truley scale with no flat ride pads on the sponsons. Its going to handle chop a bit better than the App.
As for a twin set up, if thats what your leaning towards... I think Id pick the App. But build it yourself. Its an easier set up than the Genesis (twin)would be and theres many stingers available for the build. The Genesis would take quite a bit of work as the transom overhang is pretty long making it difficult to find suitable stingers, and struts would need work as well as the transom is convex.
