Do you guys think we ought to go ahead and risk not registering? I have the renewal for the canoe here and it's $52! Crazy! Expires next Wednesday!

Thanks Hippie. I looked at that one yesterday. Heavy boat. No title. Can't register. Went to the tag office to see if a title could be obtained and they said no because it is already titled in somebody's name. Hard telling how many times it's been sold and where the title is.

Since we run in a county park, it would be just our luck that game and fish or a deputy would fine us if we don't register. You have to register a boat to use any kind of power, electric or gas.

I thought you guys were gonna use a row boat instead to save cash ?.

We could. But We already have a brand new trolling motor and battery. Now to find some cheap oars!

Hell, I think we oughta just not renew the registration on the canoe and look for a cheap small jon boat and not register it. . . take our chances.

We can probably get $100 or more for the gheenoe and even more for the utility trailer that most of you haven't seen.

I made the oars i use on my boat, out of Pvc & Pelxiglass . They work great.

Yep. Already sold. DANGIT! I'll keep looking. You guys keep looking too. Must be lightweight, 10 footer is best. Gotta be able to easily throw it on top of a van or SUV.

Ackerman Update

According to a "limey" friend of mine the last 'oars 'e 'ad cost him a bunch and still wanted to charge more for paddling.

I stopped by Ackerman on my way home from flying this morning and walked down to where we launch the boats from. The slime is GONE but I really don't recall seeing this sign before.
I'm still charging packs and plan to be there in the morning unless nobody else is coming. Would have put this up sooner but seems like OSE has been down until just now. Been trying to get on ever since getting home.
