Sunlight will wake it right up. Looks like it has a gold undertone. Any opinions on colorshift?

I'll take some pics in the sun this evening. No gold that I can tell, might be the pics. What do you mean on color shift? Like if you did yours? Be pretty sweet looking with the right color.

I know I'm a pain but I'm pretty new to these things, no knowledge of how they work and it gets frustrating when the boat does one thing and you guys say otherwise. So was trying to clear up all corners. I didn't take it anyway, no worries. With that said I'm still awaiting your response from my last PM

Listen to me. You have two escs, right? Then that means you have a power wire from each one. Then they go into a "y" connector. If one power wire in the y connector isn't clipped then they will feel power into each other. Might not hurt but proper practice it to not back feed them...so you only need power from ONE ESC going into the receiver.

Not sure on two esc's. But I can tell you that an external bec attached to an esc with an integral bec will burn up either the esc or the external bec.

I have discovered this the hard way.

I don't have an answer because I've never tried it. I just know that no one runs them connected because the possibility of back feeding could occur and cause damage. That's why the wire is disconnected from the factory.

I like bright colors myself so you can see it. The orange looks really good from house of color.

Guys, were giving advice here without knowing, or fully understanding how the boat is set up; regarding the ESC's red wires. The Y harness included with the boats has one of the red wires clipped, which is why the ESCs work as a master and a slave. I thought this through when I developed the boat, this isn't my first rodeo. If you notice, there is heat shrink where the Y harness becomes 1. That is where 1 red wire is clipped. You can not have redundant BECs and expect to not burn up one of them. Look at the boat's parts listing. There is a reason for the wire harness listed. It's specific to making the ESCs work together safely.

If the red wire is clipped of one or the other ESC, repair it. It's obvious your ESC isn't working otherwise.

Im not new to rc boat racing, but am new to electric boats, and got on this thread hoping to get insight to this boat. I have learned some by reading every post before asking questions, and some I ask are answered by common responses, such as " has anyone needed to adjust strut in order to get the recorded speeds" answer was "depends on wind etc..." I already knew that, not being new to rc boat racing. I understand that to some it may seam like stupid questions, but I thought it was about helping "old and new guys" understand how to set up this certain boat. Please no one take this as if I don't appreciate the responses.

I would love to see how yours does. Ive been struggling with mine but thats because my Zelos water intake might have been harassing the electronics, that coupled with some low cell batteries.

Team Lucas, if you didn't receive a precise answer it's probably because no one has adjusted their struts other than Travis who has experimented with props with higher rake, and myself, to run the 3 blase 1816 props which also have a more aggressive rake; which we both have posted about doing so. Most people running props with less than 10* of rake should be able to adjust the boat's CG with battery placement. It's easier to move the batteries to adjust CG than to set strut angle. My boat doesn't run the stock motors and with the props I'm running I could not get enough forward CG to keep the boat from flipping backwards. I don't think that anyone didn't want to answer your question, but strut angle really does have a lot of variables that can change by the minute. The odds of you running the same packs, wind conditions, and water conditions than anyone else on this forum are probably 0. Water density also comes in to play; the mineral content of the water can make the water "heavy" or "thick" which will effect the way your boat needs to be set up.

Like with anything else motor driven where performance tuning is necessary, no two will be the same. I really doubt every race car, for whatever type of car racing, runs the same setup as the next. It may be close, but each driver drives different and responds different to feedback from what they're driving.

Thanks for chiming in on my issue Rafael, my wire as depicted in the picture above is clipped from the Y heading towards the Receiver.
