Thanks for chiming in on my issue Rafael, my wire as depicted in the picture above is clipped from the Y heading towards the Receiver.

Ok, but is that red wire the one that is supposed to be feeding the RX or is it connected to the clipped off end of the Y harness; which would cause total RX power loss and both ESCs to just beep at you? That's the $1M question . It can be as simple as just throwing some heat shrink on that wire and making sure the ESC with the red wire still in tact is the one feeding the RX. Then you'd be back back to square 1, but with a working power system.

Team Lucas, if you didn't receive a precise answer it's probably because no one has adjusted their struts other than Travis who has experimented with props with higher rake, and myself, to run the 3 blase 1816 props which also have a more aggressive rake; which we both have posted about doing so. Most people running props with less than 10* of rake should be able to adjust the boat's CG with battery placement. It's easier to move the batteries to adjust CG than to set strut angle. My boat doesn't run the stock motors and with the props I'm running I could not get enough forward CG to keep the boat from flipping backwards. I don't think that anyone didn't want to answer your question, but strut angle really does have a lot of variables that can change by the minute. The odds of you running the same packs, wind conditions, and water conditions than anyone else on this forum are probably 0. Water density also comes in to play; the mineral content of the water can make the water "heavy" or "thick" which will effect the way your boat needs to be set up.

Like with anything else motor driven where performance tuning is necessary, no two will be the same. I really doubt every race car, for whatever type of car racing, runs the same setup as the next. It may be close, but each driver drives different and responds different to feedback from what they're driving.

all I was asking if everyone kept same strut angle or if this boat needed 1 mm down or so. simple question, if people ran on flat water all the time, I see stock angle would work, but who in this world has flat water? BEAM ME UP SCOTTY
I seen vids of you guys running in the upper 60's low 70's is that with stock strut angles?

I can confirm this when I get off work some time tonight. I do know however it was closer to the heat shrinked Y. Most of the times the Zelos acts up is because of a wet receiver. But on that day, it started out with a receiver that was wet that I didn't know about. So i changed to a new one I had on standby and Viola it worked, by the time I got to the River, 1 ESC (Original) would not come on (pressing the power button did nothing) I unplug the packs for a bit, both came on (using power button) Hmmm! Throw the sucker in the water, I tried to turn left, it was like it was fighting me, only wanting to go straight or right. Bring her back in, do the rigmarole of programming ESC and the throttle range stuff, that fixes the issue. Throw that sucker back in the water, she goes but she cuts out sporadically, it was like she went into a full on Reduce power mode. I have short clip of it but you guys wont be able to tell whats happening. Bring her back and the packs are rather warm to be only running 31mph, she has both ESC lighted up like Rudolph's nose. I bring her home, thinking maybe I forgot to charge the packs which im sure I did. Charged it and it only took 2000mah each, give or take a few. On on pack it was reading 4.14 for a cell, while the others were 4.19, 4.20. Either way I hope whatever it was I can get sorted because I finally will get my SMC replacement pack, so I can give those a shot. The river has been real nice lately, for how long I don't know.

I did 60.5 mph on stock strut settings. That was only once, after that my speed went downhill... 57,54,50,31! Lol

This is with Octura X447s by the way. Wanna give the stock props some sharp and balance and give it a go.

I started out lowering the struts a bit (safe for me) to help transom lift. I also started playing with props pretty quickly (too quick). X442s, x447s, abc 1615s and 1715s in that order. CG was my original battle, opted for 4 pack setup. Had to go negative on the struts for the ABCs. Im at 3mm negative now but means nothing to anyone else because of full mods. Don't know if this helps but there it is.

Ran em at neutral, the added mm gave more lift. I did detounge s+b. 64ish if I remember correctly. I liked the way the 442s ran on stock setup better tho. They reved out better and ran the boat cooler, didnt detounge these. Speeds where almost the same.

My favorite lake is pretty consistent in density/temp while the river that feeds said lake 20 miles downstream is wayyy heavier (nose comes up). On the lake a stable 84.2, on the river a hairy 81...

I messed up the decals because I was in a hurry to take some pics lol. Wasn't worried about it anyway, I have a production set of decals on the way. It wasn't a full decal set anyways. I should scan them and cut them in carbon fiber vinyl.
