Well I decided to finish off the recover right. It was useable but full throttle on 3s resulted in a wheelie or it bouncing from side to side. If I gave it half throttle or so it would do ok and it was faster than before but I wasn't ok with that. I decided to build another frame that was a little longer and a little wider and have less drag. Was taking a chance but I'm glad I did. It's a bit faster than it was and its way more stable. I can now cruise on our at full throttle. I'm pleased with the result. And it looks better too

And it matches the motor too!

In regards to the SF300... I was surprised to find that the SF300's water inlet/outlet that sides on the aluminum PCB is made out of brass...
Couldn't they just go with aluminum, or better yet-- copper for that one? Seeing how brass is only like a fraction of the thermal conductivities of aluminum/copper...
kfxguy: You should try making one with twin drive with some cheapo motors (on both sides of the floaters there)... probably would make it super stable.
Btw, have you had a chance to try the 1.4p abc's yet?

The Rivercat is almost done. It's all wired up and bench tested. Just have a few misc things left. I also reinforced the hatch. Something I did not do on my Rivercat that sank. Honestly that was a dumb move on my part. To add to it, the boat was so small and heavy that the floatation I had in it wasn't enough. I realized what had happened after a boat I built for a buddy flipped and cracked the hatch and let the hull fill up with water. Luckily his had enough floatation. I added two layers of aircraft grade kevlar ( vey nice looking stuff) and one later of tight weave glass. It went from being so flexible that I could push it down easily 1/2" at contact the motor to no movement at all. I think I could stand on it at this point. I think I could have just done one layer and been fine. Well anyway, here she is all wired up and cooling lines run. I just have to add the cooling line outlet.

The carbon fiber bracket is not going to be used. Looks cool but I learned my lesson on my shocker. It's not stiff enough or strong enough to be where it's at. I can move the rudder too much. I'll be making a billet bracket for it instead.

I should have showed how I made it. It started out life as a super stiff and hard piece of 1/8" stainless steel rod. I chucked it in my drill and turned the ends down to .105 by using my belt sander. Then I threaded it to 4-40. First I made a template of the bends with a piece of hobby shop 4-40 rod. That's how I figured my length before I threaded and bent it. Those rod ends are almost a work of art. No slack at all. The whole reason the linkage is so beefy is because at high speeds you can't have any flex in the steering or it will do odd things.
