Haven't posted anything on the demon rigger. I started building one of them. Sweet little boat so far. Here's the layout I was thinking about

Here's the inlay. Black fiberglass. I didn't want to add weight. It really didn't need any more strength but imagine how dirty a white hull is going to get. Ugh.

I'm doing a flood chamber on this thing. Tube would add unnecessary weight. My goal is 3lbs ready to go. This is going to be a 4s setup, not really for all out speed but for longevity. The kv is lower than normal. So things should stay nice and cool no matter how much it's hammered on. I'm gonna be running a 2400kv castle 1415 motor. 4mm flex.

This it just a short piece of brass to trim the opening out. I prefer to have a good amount of adjustment in my setups.

Here's a 1.5mm carbon plate I cut and slotted for the brass tube. The servo mount will be incorporated into it. Using a hitec servo.

Got the hardware mounted. Idea of how the stuffing tube is going in.

I was anxious to see where my weight was going to fall. Like I said earlier I was setting a goal of 3lbs (too heavy?)

And I got close. Even though it's I touch over, I should be dead on now. I switch escs I'm going to use. I have a shrink wrap type turnigy for this one which is an punch lighter. The flex and boom tubes aren't on the scale.

Here's how the servo is going in

Here's the plate that seals the flood chamber

Couple things I did to shed weight. First was I was sent an hrc cooling jacket with the motor. Great quality but too heavy for no reason

I got this one from ose. Very nice and very light.

So when I decided to go with a different esc I weighed them for kicks.

Owner of the orange boat and the new owner of my green boat just sent me this pic a few minutes ago. The maiden was just ran on the orange one. X450 prop on first run it went 69.9mph. He put an x447 on it and it went 66.6 (there's that unlucky number again! Ugh)

Have you tried changing up diameter for more pitch? Maybe keep it like around 42 to 45mm and pitch it up significantly more. ie, 1.7p + Increase rpm.

You're running a single on a light weight boat.... diameter probably shouldn't matter too much

Only if it were that simple. Lol

That isn't all my props. I took a lot out in not going to use to make room for some new numbers I have coming. I really need a bigger box. Also it's a balancing act to get good speed, handling and not have a lot of prop walk.

Btw, have you sent those bad motors back to Lehner yet for repair or a looksy? What did they say about them? If not, maybe have RaceMachineX take a look at them...

No, I tried and it say in customs for quite a while (month or so) and then got sent back. Keith Bradly has it and I'm not sure if he tried to send it back again. Haven't heard anything.
