With all the noise from the motor, how can you be sure that it is a grinding sound? How smooth do you feel when you insert the cable into the collet? The friction should be a smooth yet constant one, your instinct would have told you if something is already wrong.Originally posted by dude123 View PostHey guys so i benched tested my boat again to make shure rverything was in working order and it seems that i am getting this grindong sound in my stuffing tube area but my bend is very subtle. Are you using a liner?
How is the bushing and stub shaft? Any bindings there? May not be from the stuffing tube....Too many boats, not enough time...

Their is no binding and the bushings are good i would like to change them to some better ones later. Their is not binding but i mean it turns freely it might just be the sound that it makes. Ill get pics today and a video of the maiden voyageEvery one knows the best part about building a boat is SANDING!!!! Just kidding

The sound is normal if it's out of the water. All the boats i've heard sound like something is loose because there is no load on the prop and the sound resonates through the hull. If the cable spins smoothly when it's in but not connected to the collet, then it's all good. Use some oil in your stuffing tube too.

Hey guys so i got my boat out today and all i can say is wow it was SICK!!! It was ripping probably in the mid 60's for the maiden, not to shabby id say!! I will yry and figure out how to post the video today!! When i hooked it up to the computer it logged the max amps as 135.6a which in my eyes isnt to bad for 6s and with no adjustments, now its time for the technique and skill of tunning hahah. In the mean while here are acouple glammer shots.DSC_0030.jpgDSC_0031.jpgDSC_0033.jpgDSC_0035.jpgEvery one knows the best part about building a boat is SANDING!!!! Just kidding

Do you guys know were to get the little piece of foam that goes between the two control boards for the castle hydras 200hv? Also ehat is the best way to waterproof it(corrosion x)? ThanksEvery one knows the best part about building a boat is SANDING!!!! Just kidding

I remember reading the bulletin board, give Castle Creations a call and see what they have to say. It may be as simple as using a double sided thick tape. ( 3M makes heavy duty red dbl. tape sold at Home Depot) .
As for CorrosionX, do you realize that they come in two different viscosity? The red can we use is the thin one, good for motor bearings, etc. There is a green label which is thicker and better for ''waterproofing" electronics. I would get that one if I were to coat my ESC, just saying.....

hey guys so i ran my boat again today wasn't able to get a video thought couldn't do both at once, but this run i wasn't happy with. For some reason when it is getting up on plane it real leans to the right and i have a offset rudder which i think is causing the problem. Also it was running really wet, it wouldn't leave the water, stuck to it really hard, i will adjust the strut angle up a little and go from their. Also i was looking at my graphs for the data logging but they are whacked out i think can anyone tell me if this is wrong cause i highly doubt i am getting 106,000 rpms haha. Any advice would be awesomeScreenshot 2015-02-04 17.40.59.jpgEvery one knows the best part about building a boat is SANDING!!!! Just kidding

sorry for the size guys i cant seem to figure out ow to get it bigger. the max amp is 164.3a and watt is 3612, average rpms were 34, 414. Any other info just ask and ill let you knowEvery one knows the best part about building a boat is SANDING!!!! Just kidding

Did you move the strut from the first run? My guess is you either moved the strut down or used a different prop. This hull like the prop up high. That's why mine did 64.5mph and pulled 236 amps and only turned 31k rpm. The rudder IS NOT the cause of the problem. It's called torque roll. Caused by a narrow hull with too much prop or too much prop in the water.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) was
