    Tim.
As Shawn said, you could try higher timing. Mine were set at 15* too.

HK doesn't sell the Turnigy 2200kv version any more. I've had the motors for years & they've been in & out of a few different boats. Either as a pair or as singles. But I just realised that you don't have water cooled mounts. That would be the reason for the higher temps. Any chance you can slip a cooling plate between the motor & the mount? Your shafts might not be long enough if you do though.

But the Scorpions you have are definitely a more powerful & efficient motor.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

I ran a pair of those 3126 2200kv outrunners in a 36" cat for part of last season. They were the Turnigy versions. Didn't see the temps you are talking about though. Had CNC 4214/3 blade props on it with 120A ESC's.

      Hey. Heath.
      Custom Wind?
What should we prepare for at the next round of EA Cat?
I could tell you Paul but then I'd have to dispose of you lol not sure it will be ready for the next round of cat racing, maybe round 3 if all goes well

Really glad you got a good run in. They don't always GO the first time out. ;-)
        Thanks for your encouragements!
I set the timing at 15*. I am sure the motors are not totally toasted, but I will use the Scorpions now and get to know the boat, then if I have enough confidence, will see what higher timing will do to these FC motors.

Yeah, I realised that they don't have this anymore, same reason why I could not buy from FighterCat.
The angle of the motors would mean adding a cooling plate difficult. The rear of the motor would hit the lip of the hull which I tried not to alter( too much) ---another reason why I was incapable/reluctant to use 36xx water cooled inrunners. Actually I started out wanting to use a water cooled mount, that thought kelp me from this build for two years!
I will now concentrate on finding the right drive angle and the right size props. I am not experienced at all in this regard. I just feel so fortunate to have you guys so willing to help and teach.

Oh, I forgot, I do have a question for you guys, the rudder seems rather snappy, I have been careful but it will turn the boat rather sharply, not doing a doughnut yet though.
            Should I:
            a) shorten the rudder?
            b) try to run the props turning outward?
            c) try both a and b?
            Thanks!

One thing at a time. Outward really helped this action on my Shocker twin.

Try dialing down the endpoints of the rudder throw on the TX. I've seen guys go down as low as 50% on twins. I used to have mine down to about 60%

I will dial down further and see what happens, I think I had it about 80%. Good to know a reliable reference point.

It is often found that not enough rudder 'In the water' will cause spinouts too. The other thing can be the angle of it in the water. You can 'tuck' it(angle the bottom tip forward) a few degrees which will hold the transom down in the water through the corner.
                      Just tossing you ideas.

P.S. I think I have enough depth, I know what you are talking about, my Mean Machine needed a deeper rudder and that took care of that.

Yeah, I just looked back at the pics and there is defiantly enough rudder in the water

My Fantasm was doing this as well at first but I think I had too much weight forward. Haven't really addressed my handling with it yet. Gotta hit triple digits straight first, LOL.
