As Shawn said, you could try higher timing. Mine were set at 15* too.
HK doesn't sell the Turnigy 2200kv version any more. I've had the motors for years & they've been in & out of a few different boats. Either as a pair or as singles. But I just realised that you don't have water cooled mounts. That would be the reason for the higher temps. Any chance you can slip a cooling plate between the motor & the mount? Your shafts might not be long enough if you do though.
But the Scorpions you have are definitely a more powerful & efficient motor.
