That motor will pull much more current than some would think. I think you're going to want a good esc. You can sell the fc esc as a working model and buy a swordfish 240 tomorrow, or smoke it....up to you.

It says on the neu website the motor will make 4500 watts believe me if you check data logging you'll get at least 8,000 in a saw run on 8s, a guy on here Cooper had a twin fantasm and was pulling like 8,000 watts PER MOTOR, 1527s.

The person who told me, races in a oval course. Maybe has a lag getting back into it. I dunno. I have a swordfish in the daytona but I haven't tried it yet.

They do have a "softer" throttle than some of the other ESCs, but if your boat is fast you will never know it. Some of the more advanced ESCs are this way also by the way. The fighter cats are the opposite. They are VERY twitchy.

I have Swordfish in almost every boat I've built (13ish) and I run oval. I've never experienced any kind of throttle lag in any of them, There are three different start settings (Soft) (Standard) (Fast) ...

Now, the 1527 is going in this hull? I've lost track of what the heck you're planning somewhere between your threads

THANKS! Im a little dissapoimt in that one strand that was messed up. I didnt figure it would show that much and i didnt want to cut another piece off the roll because i needed it squared up like it was. I have to make another sheet of cf to build my battery trays and thats I have just enough left for that. i thought i had more than i do but evidently ive been running through the roll faster than i thought with all the building ive been doing. Once i get it assembled, you probably wont see it as much tho.

thamks. Yes, the 1527 is going in this hull. Hopefully itll do more than 70mph. I have my fingers crossed. My original goal was 100mph, but ive since then found out that just one of these motors by itself likely wont cut it. It is what it is.....i may set this boat up to turn well (well as good as i can anyway lol) and enjoy it that way, then build myself a fantasm for stright line speed. I should have just kept my cheetah lol.

Well you may not reach your goal with it, but man that motor is gonna push that hull nicely
