Looks like it must have a pretty good head of speed with the way it skipped the pond after the flip.. Sorry to hear about the magic smoke.

Nothing half a gallon of rubbing alcohol won't cure.Originally posted by Livewire121 View PostMan that sucks!!! Hope the hull isn't damage

Scott, they were"waterproof" 80hv Seakings. There wasn't much water in there though and that 137 amps was just burst. It didn't get smoky till on shore. You know that is the second Spektrum servo that I have lost in this way.Must get a back feed or something. RX is fine.

Well Joel,I'm thinking 3200 watts is a bit high for those motors, though as said I don't have any specs. I'm kinda leaning toward my 200 Swordy's and the 1400kv T-600's.Just go 5s-6s with those.I think I'll try HobbyPartz in regards to any warranty first.Originally posted by Rocstar22 View PostSo now what? Oh Man! I'm just starting to get excited with the Komodo running!
Yeah! Swordy 200A and T-600's should move that Komodo!
maybe move some weight forward.

Are you runing a spike or "brown out" cap in your RX. I was popping servos in my twin Geico (Popeyes) boat. I installed a rx cap and changed out my UBEC and havent lost one since...

Oh it is definitly in need of forward weight.Everyone seems to be on this 30 percent thing but that run was 31.My Shocker was more like 40 to be happy.Originally posted by tagasagwan View PostOh Man! I'm just starting to get excited with the Komodo running!

Scott, this brown out cap,I am afraid I have no idea.
I would sure like to not lose any more of them at $70 a pop.Sorry about the pun.

Yes sir! Ill put some in my "parts to got to Shawn" box.
yeah the faster you go, the more forward it goes. It ran great on 5S or whatever the first run was... Nice ride attitude. 7S... um......

I don’t know where ppl get 30% from, maybe it’s just a reference point to start off? I'm in the 40's. The faster you go the more forward you have to be, or lower the drives to a negative position. ofcause depending on hull!. I'm in the low 40's with a 3 degrees negative on the drives, and she is smooth.Visit www.customcfparts.com | Custom Boat Building | Custom Carbon Fiber Parts | Custom Graphics | LMT Premium Dealer | MGM Premium Dealer | YouTube | Facebook
