Can the Ice 200's handle the 1717's?

Oh yeah baby,I have two of each sitting here for my R42 build.I also have a pair of Sirius 1717's as well.I think they will not fit though. The T-600's are tight to the tunnel.A pair of 4092's mind you.
I have to check the Eagle Tree yet.And then go from there.

Damn those gremlins!!!! Regarding the eagle tree, i was out this weekend with my EKOS and finally got it into the 60mph range. My first passes were my best, but my radar gun didn't pick up the boat. So I couldn't get any readings, it was on my last pass before LVC that it was clocked at 58mph. I will be getting an eagle tree system in the new year, but I was wondering how accurate a radar gun is when using it for boats? I've never had a problem clocking my cars.

I haven't tried the radar gun but was gonna go there a while back.I ended up with the ET with a GPS with it.I was told that the Radar gun method can be a bit unnerving as the range is not so good and it is best when the boat is coming at you. What speed did you state.LOL UNNERVING.Try it.
But I think the ET GPS is good and accurate as all their stuff.I've tried the handheld GPS units and they didn't pick up as well or as quickly.

I'll post the vid when I get home. The run was done with the boat coming at me, 58mph was the speed stated. And yes very unnerving, the shore line was coming at it pretty quickly...lol

When I was first getting my Shocker up to that speed I did a turn at the far end of the lake and pegged it straight toward me.Problem was that I must've hit a stick or something at the other end as it flipped the rudder up.Boy it flew when it hit shore a few feet away from me.No accurate vid though. No damage. We'll see how tuff that boat is one day.

Geez so far I am all over the place in findings on these motors.I found someone saying medium timing on a HK ESC.I assume that is the Swordy knock off. So I have these at 8 pole and 8 turns,Good to 8s on HK site and 3250 watts.I really shouldn't have had a problem with my setup.

                          Hey,
I am pretty sure Ray Schrauwen did a lot of testing with these motors,
We talked a little about them some time back when I bought two from him.

Ive heard high timing on them as well... but, Im thinking the problem is elswhere. What? no idea, but youve popped what, 3 or 4 escs now? If youre going to continue w/ those motors, although we all probably agree they should turn 47s, prop down and see if you have better results w/ an actual run time. Get some temps, amp draws etc. Check the obvious things like binding etc. I dunno, Im at a loss for the moment.......
