Here are some updated pics of the boat with the rest of the decals installed.
I used all vinyl for all the red and gold.

Only things left to do are a windshield and steering wheel.
Also have a few more small decals for the cowl to finish it up.

I will post some better pics and small video of it running in next few days.

Very nice build. I'll be getting my new scratch build wet this weekend, less all the paint details. Got about a month left of running I hope.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

          Which build is that?
You ever going to get back to your mini sprint?
I plan to start mine in next month or so.

Plan is to finish last few things on this build and make it out to race with classic thunder on OCT 16th.
Should be fun being it's my first ever race and haven't really done any fine tuning with the boat.

Ok guys here is some video of the boat running.
I am still getting use to driving it and messing with battery position but I have it running pretty good I think.
I stuffed it at about 50 seconds turning a little to sharp, oh well it's only my second time out with the boat.

I am planning to go run the boat with classic thunder on the 18th for a Namba event should be fun and will be interesting considering it will be my first time ever attending a full race event and first time racing a boat!!

Jeff shouldnt you be doing clockwise circles ? also get a turn fin on the right sponson transom and then it will run much better in the turns, rudder looks a tad long too.Can i ask why the big gap between collet and tube ?.Looks nice though.

No the boats turn left for 1/10 scale racing.
It has a turn fin on the left sponson which is 2"x1" I posted a picture of it in post #92 second picture this is the max size and placement aloud according to namba rules.
Some clubs run even smaller ones.

The reason for the gap in the stuffing tube is because it is wire drive and does not need to run the entire length of the shaft.
It is also open on the bottom side for about the last 6" between the strut.
As for the rudder this is the size just about everyone is running in this class and not much room to move it up or down as you can see....

One more thing I forgot to mention is I filled in the place where I use to have the water outlet and now moved it to the deck where I can see it a lot better and it sorta looks like a fuel filler on the full size boats.

I had enough bits and pieces to put together a 1/12 pay n pak.
I'll finish the mini sprint this winter, also have a VS-1 still in the box, need to finish the details on my 1/10 Wahoo, I'd also really like to build a new spec mono but we'll have to see about that.
I don't get that much of a chance to build during the summer, usually fixing or getting the boats I'm running ready. I plow snow during the winter so I usually have a fair amount of free time during the day for building.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Right i see so why the rudder on the right hehe,Still think its too long i bet you would pick up quite a bit more speed and lose no turning with an inch less blade looking at the pics.

Mart the rudder is about 3" below bottom of the transom.

I played with the batteries today and adjusting the CG.
I had it a little to far back when I was running and we will see if the change will make a difference.
