    Amazing pics as always!
Thanks for coming out and helping me get my feet wet and dial in the boat.
If only we had figured out the dual rate on the steering earlier.
I had a lot of fun and was able to get the boat running pretty good for the consolation heat.
There were 3 other heats before this and I managed to finish all of them and didn't flip it or
make contact with any other boats which is a success in my book.
The boat at first was still hooking in the corners a little as the steering servo has good torque and speed, I was cranking it to hard and fast causing it to spin out. Once that was figured out we turned it down and boat was turning a lot better.

A little more tweaking on the boat and a larger prop and I think this boat will make a great runner.
I was running a guapner 45 and plan to use a 447 next time out.

Awesome thread! Great job on the build Jeff! I can't wait to get started on my 1/12 scale build now!! Mr. Ferrette and I will both be building one to race in D.12 next season.

I will be in touch with you about making me some vinyl decals for my roundnose build...

Thanks guys very pleased with the way the boat ran and look forward to tuning it and getting more comfortable and pushing this boat a lot harder and faster.
Can only get better from here......

Will keep everyone posted with progress on the boat.
The local club is trying to schedule a few more races this year which I will def be attending if they happen.
Next year I plan race it as much as possible.

Well after the races have had the boat out a couple more times.
Running the 447 prop really changed the way the boat handles so had to make some adjustments.

I added 3/32 ride pads and also adjusted the CG and lowered the strut just a little bit.
Everything rides very nice in the straights and I'm not having any more issues spinning out in the turns but it is now hoping in the turns.
The hoping is only happening in the turns it does not do it at all in the straights.
I am going to put on a speedmaster mini rudder which is 1/4" longer and hope this helps with the issue.
I'm not sure what else to try the prop weight is 3oz and the CG is about 1" behind the sponsons.

from what i've heard bending the tab under the boat more (and maybe angling back) will stop the hopping.

                      Boaterguy you are correct.
I tried both ways the hoping was still happening.
With it kicked under it seamed to hop all the time with it kicked back it runs smooth in straights and hops in corners.

                      Jim hobby horsing??

under gives more lift in the straights but less in the turns (right hand)
have you tried lifting the strut?

I am going to play with some adjustments on it hopefully this weekend so keeping my fingers crossed I can get it running smoother.

Sounds like maybe your turnfin is blowing out of the water. Angle your fin inward at bottom and see if that helps. I know your fin is carbon fiber, but maybe you can change it to aluminum then bend it.

I think part of the issue is the rudder being just a hair to short and also CG & prop weight combo just slightly off.
Don't get me wrong my boat performs well I am trying to get it to run GREAT!

I have made a new turn fin it is a lot smaller sized to CT specs and is also slightly bent which is what I was running the other day while testing but just installed a new speedmaster mini rudder today which is a very well made rudder and what majority of guys are using and I lowered it on the transom some so I have as much of it in the water as I can. Plan to hopefully test Sat if all goes well and make some headway on the turning issue.
