So far that T600 has been pretty sweet for me! I am building two boats with two of them each. I have had the 880s on 6s in one run and everything was really cool with the 100hv not being water cooled. I am going to try it out on 8s this weekend and i'll let you know how it goes if the esc handles it!

Next summer i am going to try out how they would do with two inlind since you can replace the shafts in a cat this size.

Here is a small vid of the boat with two 880s, so i think you could prolly go a lot faster in a cat with one of them. This run was to make sure the gearbox worked so it is on the slow side.

I am looking forward to this build! I hope it turns out really well!

Oh and the shaft size of the T600 is 6mm.

big kitty - Cyclone 45 build

Couldn't resist seeing Sean's cyclone so it is on its way to Montana. I now need to set her up with single motor for now.

    goals:
    - run upper 40s to upper 50s,
    - run times medium (not racing...yet)
    - hopefully not sell it off in the near future (meaning I'm not gonna set her up with twin Neus at the moment).
    - I like to run range of speeds, when really rough 40s is fine, but when its flat out, let the horses loose!
    - final goal: get her wet before the ponds freeze (hopefully not before Thanksgiving)

    I currently have:

    1/4" strut
    long wide rudder
    HT MG servo
    10S2P Turnigy 30c 7200mah total (2x5s, 4x3s, 4x2s)
    10S1P forget brand 25c 6600mah (2x5s packs)
    8S2P Rhino 4900mah, 20c packs (4x3s, 4x2s)
    or 6S2P flightpower 5000mah (2x4s, 2x2s)

    Need to get:

motor: Turnigy T600 Brushless Outrunner (on order) or maybe a Scorpion 4035 - 800KV??
Speedo: Turnigy Monster-2000 200A 4-12S (on order) I have a turnigy 100 HV - if I kept prop smaller could I get away with this, or am I dreaming?
motor mount for outrunner and 5" rails (en route from SouthRiverRC - same day shipping evidently)
1/4" flex cable and 8mm to 1/4" coupler (on order from Wholt Enterprises)
    Props: 57-62mm

I have not set one up this big, but am super psyched about it. please share any thoughts on set up.

I sure hope Jay, Rich, and other big kitty tamers help me keep from doin something stupid on this one - plan on keepin her around for a while!
