why do you need washers? i just push the colars tight against the tub

On my Raptor... the washers are sealed to the tub with Silicone to seal the boom tubes...

I'm using them to protect the finish on the tub.

i understand, on mine the boom tubes are tight and i push the collars tight so if they do move at all they can only cause small scratches under the collar and i am not worried about scratching it where it cant be seen.
i did use nylon washers to seal the motor mount bolts and space them away from the cooling jacket. i put a metal washer outside a nylon washer against the hull.

5/16 ID X 11/16 OD x approx 1/16" nylon washers. I found them at my local Home Depot.

i did some testing this weekend also. the h-7 was good, but i got a 1450 modded by mark sholund and i think that is the last prop i need to test. dont have any video yet but it runs good with the correct lift and tempaturs still in the 110 degree range.

Was the H-7 also done by Mark or was that one just S/B (out of the bag)? Glad you're running well!
