The sponsons are actually the same as stated above. In fact I cut mine out together by stacking and tack gluing the foam and wood laminate for two spnsons prior to cutting out on the band saw. You can look at these plans and see.Comment

Great info on this thread. I've been in boats for 45 years ,BUT this is my first rigger (ordered today) . When finishing do you glass? Jae strut looks like it will drag? Thanks for all the great info Ron SquiresComment

No glass on these. Just two or three coats of finishing epoxy.

Two down.....
Well I shipped out two of the builds this week. Took some pics before I boxed them up.
The third one is staying local and I'll be putting a real P-Limited setup it.
I'll post some pics of that one too.
Ron, with the UL-1 motor and esc you'll be happy with a Octura 1450 or ABC H-7. The boat will run good and you won't punish anything

Looks awesome! Will the vacu-boat cowl fit if the top peice is not cut for a single cowl? I got one coat of epoxy on the tub and sponsons. Thanks again Doug.
