Well, three of us showed up today. Myself, Bill and Chris. By 10 o'clock we had enough of the cold and wind and came back to my place for some "bashing". I had a boat I set up for Q mono. She turned a lap and died???? But before that I couldnt get the esc to arm, until Bill reminded me I had an "on-off" switch. Then Bill re-decorated the right sponson of Chris' Genesis.

Off to P-mono, lets face it, BIll flat out kicked my tail. My EKOS is not the boat I thought I could make it. Its just not a fast hull. Same set up pushed a Genesis close to 50. I dont think the EKOS is doing but 37. LSH ran well until both boats went belly up. LSO ran very well. Bills MM vs my Geico. My Geico came in w/ a little; steam/ smoke. Those tiny wires on the Proboat motor just get hot. Everything else including the motor was cold (under 87) after a couple minute walk back to the bench.

Bill ran his Goldfinger on both 5 and 6S. I'll let him tell of his detonging success.

I ran the HPR w/ 447s, now that Ive got the shafts to hold in the stubs. 4S, 5S and 6S, with 6S topping out at 76.4mph. Bill got all 3 runs on video so Im sure we will see them in the next 24 hours. Motors and batteries were quite cool after our 3 minute walk @ under 84, the ESCs were a little warmer showing 123 at warmest, but Id think they were maybe in the low 130s at most. I forgot to run my eagle tree in it, Id like to know how hard Im pressing these Etti 150s.

My report. We need a lake the size of Ackerman but sheltered from the wind like the pond at Scotts house.

May be a while before a video speed report of the Thunderbolt (just now processing the 1st clip from a half hours worth of video) but it did break the 60 mph mark today.

You didn't miss anything at Ackerman. It was blowing a lot worse than what was predicted so the 3 of us that did show up went to Scotts house and ran. His pond is well protected from the effects of wind.
It actually turned into a pretty nice day around 2:00 though. I had to shed my jacket.
