Mike I sent an email to Terry Crowger yesterday. Ken told me to get with him about us going over one weekend. I will let you know as soon as I hear back.

I had an interesting conversation last night with John Otto from the Brandon Club. They have a new president and he says the club would welcome us and that he thinks we could use their venue if we want to put on a meet. Might be good to have a meeting over there with the Prez, etc.
Whatcha think?Mini Cat Racing USA

Hey Bill what esc, motor and prop are you running in your Mean Machine LSO. I've been doing some expensive testing. Help! I fried two UL-1 motors, one Hydra 120 running Turnigy 4S2P 35C 5000 with a M445 cupped up a little. I thought I had fried another Hydra 120 that quit working when the second UL1 motor fried, good thing I hooked it back up just before cutting heat shrink off it seems to be working ok now, however the motor I tested it on was a brand new Feigoa 8S, when I spun it up the coupler broke off with the shaft dented my desk and bounced and cut my hand what a bummer. Next I tried and fried a SV27 motor on a Power 100A esc using a Prather 220.

I'm still having "issues" with mine as well. I currently have my old 1415/1Y Neu in mine with a Swordfish 120 spinning a GR 40-52/3. (after cooking the SV27 motor in about 1 minute) It runs good for a while but then goes into overload mode. Not sure if it was lvc or esc overheat yesterday. Esc didn't feel hot but it did pop the heat shrink on it.Originally posted by hebner View PostHey Bill what esc, motor and prop are you running in your Mean Machine LSO. The real reason I dropped by was to mention that all the vids from yesterday are up on RC Groups. Starting on this page. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...1327096&page=9

How much do these things weigh? The power combo should be fine and only pulling about 60 amps with that prop.Originally posted by hebner View PostHey Bill what esc, motor and prop are you running in your Mean Machine LSO. I agree. Our gatherings at Akerman are very informal and don't produce the 'urgency' of actual official racing. We need to get a lot sharper for the NATS. I'll see if I can set up a meeting with the Brandon guys.
