Wouldn't it be easier to keep one boat anchored in place while trying to stretch the string out?

I'd think with both having motors the motor could be used for holding adjusting position easier. Either way we'll need two people in each boat to get it done.

Haha. As weak as those trolling motors are I wouldn't bet on it but you may be right.Mini Cat Racing USA

I heard back from Steve Hearl. The buoys are $5 each drilled, ready to paint in lots of 30! We ain't got $150 in the kitty right now. Hopefully he'll sell less!
What about Truckpull's buoy design!? I like those a lot! Should we make up some more of those?Mini Cat Racing USA

Jim, have you ever been in contact with Rich..... uhhh.. Bill, help me out here. Rich that used to own Hobby Stop in Bradenton , and I believe he worked at Phils on 41 that was also here in Bradenton. He was telling me A LOT in great info about sarasota countys Ackerman park and thier agreement to RC boating and how it is and had been deamed to ALWAYS be offered that site at no charge. He said if we need to contact him that he would be more than happy to help us out in any way he can and go to bat for us. Apperently he was very involved w/ racing at teh lake and events that took place.Originally posted by sailr View PostUPDATE:

I remember your email bill. I'll try to find it. First is to find out who to talk to at the County. Their staff lineup has changed. I sent an email to the acting General Manager and asked her to direct me to the right person to talk to. Before any meeting, I will get as much prior knowledge from Rich as I can. Remember, all the talk in the world is worthless unless it was put on paper and signed by the board of county commissioners.

OK guys, I remember last year we were looking for a nicer place to stay in Ft. Pierce. I found a Hilton called Homewoods Suites with two bedrooms, 1 King, 2 queens, and a sleeper sofa in the living room for $179/night. It can sleep 4 easily.
It's a bit further away than the other place but sounds really nice.
