I use an aquacraft balancer, various size files, flat and round, 220 and 320 grit sandpaper. I started to do the 1915 but haven't finished.

Thanks. I read that people don't like to use a dremel because of the dust. I need to get some files when I get a new prop.Originally posted by Keagan-Z06 View PostI use an aquacraft balancer, various size files, flat and round, 220 and 320 grit sandpaper. Yeah for those copper beryllium props its advised to use gloves and mask in a well ventilated area. I also use a little bit of oil to keep the dust at bay when I'm filing or sanding. After this hurricane passes us and the dust settles I will give it a whirl!Proboat Voracity-E 36" , Proboat Zelos 36 Twin , Proboat Miss Geico 29" , Traxxas Spartan, Fightercat Daytona, Zonda

Do the Speedmaster Billet CNC Aluminum Tabs fit the existing holes in the stock Voracity?
http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...d=ros-spdt-502
Or do I have to drill holes for these tabs to work? I didn't realize until I ordered that it may not fit where the existing holes are.

Thanks. Just trying to figure out if I should wait for the Voracity specific CNC tabs (no extra holes) or install this one.Originally posted by shua View PostI have that pair on mine. You will have to drill new holes
Did you have to drill 2 new holes for each tab? Or did you use one of them and just drill 1 extra (per tab)?
I see that a lot of people "silicone" the holes. Is that just using a liquid nail product? What is a good silicone product to use?
Do you also silicone over the hardware after you screw the nut/bolts in?
Thanks!

Sorry for the newb question but, how do you silicone the screw holes? What's the process.Originally posted by Keagan-Z06 View PostFor those of you all that had leaky voracity's, what did you do? I spent my last 2 days off tearing down the V36 and silicone all the screw holes and reassemble. If that doesn't work, I'm thinking it may be coming through the shaft. How much grease do u guys pack on that shaft any how? Most of it don't make it in anyway right?
Do you remove the bolts/nuts first, then apply the silicone to the bolts/nuts and tighten them and allow the glue to dry..
OR
Do you tighten the hardware (bolts/nuts) and then apply silicone over the bolts/nuts?

You can do it both ways, I prefer to remove the nuts & bolts & apply whatever sealant you are using.Originally posted by LuckY07 View PostSorry for the newb question but, how do you silicone the screw holes? What's the process.

Eventually I will need to reinforce the transom and a couple other spots. You did a great job with the CF work.. what's the green tape though? Is that a special tapeOriginally posted by microsalmo View PostHere are some pics of my CF reinforcement and set up.

that stays on or are you planning to remove that?

Awesome, thanks! I assume you then tighten the bolts back up while the silicone is still wet.Originally posted by martin View PostYou can do it both ways, I prefer to remove the nuts & bolts & apply whatever sealant you are using.
When switching hardware, such as installing an aftermarket rudder.. Do you install the new hardware first, and then plug the stock holes with silicone.. forming a bond
between the boat/hardware/silicone? Or is it best to fill the holes in first, let it dry, and then mount the new hardware?
I bought the speedmaster trim tabs and am itching to install them..

Hi, sorry for being a rookie.... Well I read the post about tuning the stock esc with my radio. I attempted and never got the beeps as stated in the instructions. But next to my on/off switch is a button. I held it down and the esc light went to red flashing. Now I think it's all out of wack. When powered on it beeps for 5s instead of automatic finding my 6s also the trigger doesn't make it go forward. Please help

Little button is a battery chemistry function and is not used for setting up the ESC. Find that section in the manual and put it back to the default.Originally posted by MDGrant1984 View PostHi, sorry for being a rookie....
