Hi Rafael.

How do you get 5 times more power out of the a3630-1800kv 6 pole motor the impulse 31 uses , and the impulse 31 uses a 80amp esc. Can you confirm what motors you are using please.

Darin, I've never seen past 65 with it, stock, with those props. I stopped GPSing after the 2 lap event, honestly.

Keagen, I forget what props those are. Someone asked on YouTube, I replied in the video's comments. I'm not running the stock motors either. I'm running Impulse 31 motors which make nearly 5 times more power, each, compared to the stock motors. No issues running with the stock ESCs; the Impulse uses the same ESC.

You don't get nearly 5 times more power from A3630-1800kv. You get 2300 watts from DYNM3930, 1750kv 4 pole. We're not talking about the same motor or the same ESC.

I'm talking about the current Impulse 31V3 motor.

Went to the river today. Mustered a measly 56.7mph. Ambient temps were 102 deg. Will try again in better conditions, hopefully by then I do some of the tips kfx gave me. Will try and sharpen props more too.

They come packaged in quantity of 1. If you are getting vibration, balance your prop. A well balance prop will show 0 vibration.

$65 for one strut? Im not a stickler over prices very often but that is a little crazy. I'll search elsewhere. I think the bushing is getting worn. 20+runs. Everything looks ballanced and true, does it with other props as well. Hooked the shaft to a drill and spins perfectly, no wobble. It is a very slight vibration while running on the bench. Maybe I'm just being picky.

I'll agree that I thought the struts were a little pricey but we have to consider that the hardware on this boat isn't cheap cheesy stuff like on most rtrs. I like the struts so much that I bought an extra set so I can use them on my 32" cat I'm building. If you need to replace the bushings in them I'd be willing to bet you could make some out of brass tubing and jb weld or loctite in place. Maybe Raphael has a better suggestion, I need to replace mine while mine is apart anyway.


I will say, and I mean no offense, but some of you guys are expecting things to be perfect in every way and expect it to last forever. Proboat does an awesome job of bringing us a good product at a good price. I build boats that cost twice as much and you'll still run across an issue here and there. Understand that Raphael does not personally assemble these boats nor does he make any of the components. So please, ease up a little on him. He does the best job I've ever seen in what he's doing and makes time to help you guys out in any way he can. If I was in his shoes at this point I would have grown tired of what he's doing by now. So be thankful. This is a badass boat out the box. It has lots of potential and sometimes things are always perfect. If you can turn a screwdriver you can fix most of the little issues here and there.

Well the hardware on this boat would easily support anything you throw at it (when I say hardware I mean the struts, shafts, rudder etc). Thx for the respect, I try hard to help whoever I can. The more people in this hobby the better things get for all of us.

Love this boat more and more with each outing. I spent about 2 hours working the stock props last night and got up to 59.9 mph today at the stock 4mm strut settings. I'm pretty sure if I spend a few more hours on these props I can get another 5mph outta them :) love it man!!

WHY do you want "longer than stock"?

I can tell you from personal experience with this boat that longer struts will give you trimming issues.

Not sure what you are looking to gain, but I don't think this is the right direction.
