I agree that stock power is enough. My goal is to push the stock setup fast as I can 50+ hopefully, but after that... plus I want to use my ul setup in my sv which gives me a reason (or explanation to the wife) to buy a new motor/esc...

I would like to try a 7XL with a small prop and see what happens.NAMBA20...Caterpillar UL-1, P-Spec OM29, P-Mono DF33, P-Spec JAE, Aussie 33" Hydro-LSH, Sprintcat CC2028 on 8s, PT SS45 Q Hydro, PS295 UL-1 power, OSE Brothers Outlaw QMono 4-sale, Rio 51z CC2028 on 8s

I've got a Fieago 7XL, 2370KV with Etti 150 and Grim 57/3 in the UL1 and it runs like a charm. But IMO, the Nue 1515Y with Woltz .078" wire drive, M440 and the CC240 is the way to go. We run consistant 48-50mph (data logged) on two other stock UL1's and the two setups above pass them like they are standing still! Just have to make some lead adapters this winter for the EagleTree ( deans ultra to 5.5 bullet) and see if I can fry an Eagle Tree on a Nue1515

I would also like to try this motor as well. Is a 120a esc enough for this motor and maybe 5 or 6s? I really don't want to shell out the $$$ on a etti I rather buy like a turnigy marine 120a if it would work well in this application.Originally posted by Brushless55 View PostI would like to try a 7XL with a small prop and see what happens

the 120a esc should get it done, and on 4s will be a monster..Originally posted by Diesel6401 View PostI would also like to try this motor as well. Off subject, but.....I once got a set of 300A CT's shipped to me instead of some guy who ordered them from Norway...Called EagleTree and got them off to the guy..but I then started wondering that when you exceed the ELoggers amp range (I think its 100A) if you couldn't buy these CT expanders for the hotter setups instead of frying the logger. Plus, I think it stinks that they have the deans connector built in to them, limiting the current..I made some 5.5 to deans adapter jumpers, but still feel that I'm probabbly gonna cook something..That's why I'm afraid to use them in the Nue/Fieago...thats alright, the only thing we have up here in new england is block ice and snow...

Motor specs rate it at 2s-6s. Even though it is rated for it, is it recommended not to use anything above 4s?Originally posted by Rumdog View Post5 or 6s is too much voltage for a 7xl

Would a turnigy 180a esc fit into the hull of a ul-1?

Good to know, this will probalby be a new motor/esc combo for my ul-1. I just read about the new venom boats 2 seconds ago so new ul-1 power is going to have to wait. I just got a grim 40x57/3 and strut depth is set to 1" so soon as weather breaks I can test it this setup then work on strut adjustment. Looking forward to it.Originally posted by Brushless55 View Postyes, the rpm is getting very high on anything over 4s.
