Just got back from the pond......first run it did the same thing.......23mph with a M445 prop
So I figured let's put in a different esc...I had my hextronx 120 with cooling.....first run was 43mph

So it the turnigy 180 not programed correctly

So I got excited moved to a 447 fiberglass 3 blade.........big mistake.......it melted the wires off the esc...its stinky toast and it puffed one of my flight power 2s

Fluid I am starting to do all you suggestions........

As I've told u before, I've experience using this esc before, u need to play around with the cutoff voltage, why don't u change the cutoff to 3.0v/cell, if still the same speed, change it to 2.8v/cell. Im definitely sure it will gain speed. This is something that not many people realise and I don't seem to understand why that happen.

The most obvious thing to correct withthe install is the wire length - all wires are 'way too long! This isn't causing the low speed issue, but it can cause other major problems later.

First, put the ESC in front of the motor where the GPS is and shorten both the ESC and pack wires. Get rid of the jumper wire between the packs. Cut the three motor wires on the ESC and the three on the motor to about half their present length. Long wires mean several things - high resistance so less voltage to the packs, and high impedence which can damage the ESC, particularly under high loads.

Next, ditch the 'O' rings, then tape the hatch down. The hull is the radio box, you can pull out the one that's in there now if you want.

Still nothing obvous that's causing the low rpm. The packs are wired in series as they should be, I have to assume it is something in the ESC or the transmitter. I don't know if programming the ESC can cause this as I don't have experience with that chinese ESC. It can be very frustrating to diagnose these issues from afar...heck sometimes it's tough up close!

Mr Turner I am allways please when you show up in one of my threads...its kind of lake laying in your death bed and The Doctor showing up

I have thought the same as you ...it doesnt feel like its getting full voltage

the motor is the Castle Neu 2200 kv which has been compared to the Neu 1515/1y

Confirm again the motor and Kv.

I was using the same new tactic 2.4 system

is it stops raining I will try the m445 prop and two 2s flightpower lipo's today

    thanks for the input guys

Good call Bl55! it sound like you need more volts! confirm you had the number of cells you thought you had. We'll get to the bottom of this and get you your 40+ or more.

    23mph....wtf?

    VIDEO HERE
I think someone else said this.. It sounds like your motor is not getting full speed?
Are you running your packs in series?
almost sounds like to me its on a 2cell..

I've seen the video...hmm in that video, do u use the turnigy 180A esc?do u use a new battery?because Im also having the same problem, because if your battery not that good, it won't go fast, I've experience already using that esc, even 60A also, why don't u change the cutoff to 2.8v/cell, u'll see the different. Let me know if u have test it already. Hope it helps

I have checked every single conection and have the tactic and esc programed properly

please check my video and tell me by looking at the boats attitude....do you think that 23mph is about normal for a x442 prop?.......the temps after running were no heat what so ever I have Cg set about perfect at 9 1/2" and it looks to me like its handling perfect....dont forget its doing left hand turns

I installed a m445 prop tonight and will test tomarrow but i'm really thinking its the small x442 prop
