Nothing special.
- 1/2" air dam across the front of the tunnel
- strut bracket mounted at the very bottom of transom
- strut run very deep

All I did was a bit of heat sink machining. Pics are in the Sidewinder thread.

Maybe tomorrow I'll start a DF23 build and finish off some woodstuff.

Got some testing in today. Winds were 10-15mph so I wanted to do some crap weather testing in case race day is the same. Lets just say I've torpedo'ed a few boats, but NEVER like this! My 20+yr old Dumas Hot Shot...I swear went to the bottom of the lake and back...it was gone that long!! Actually not.....just seems that long!! It was only under for about 5 seconds.....long enough to make we wonder if it was ever gonna surface!!!

At our club, we use those motors in our 'Restricted' classes of racing. Monos, Sports Hydros, & Riggers.
We are also restricted to the 45A ESC too.
Most of us run X645 or X447 props on them.

I found deep in my prop box a M645... ran amazing but slightly hot which made me nervous since my last set last week when up in smoke! I may have a 447 I'll have to check and do some mid week testing before our club meets up next Sunday... thanks for your help!

I just bought two of those motors, so I'd like to know as well. Best I could find searching old Miss Geico V2 posts was 11.25*. It appears to be a Y-wind motor.

Thanks! Everything ran great today I used the 11.25* timing it may have ran better than the ul-1 set up I blew up last week!

Changed out the hatch screw on my Voracity for a spring loaded push and twist style. I had to chip out the plastic bushing that got epoxied into the hatch when I reinforced it from below last summer. The hole in the fiber glass was a little large so I filled in the gaps with, what else, JB Weld. The cup was an exact fit with the stock piece. Put on a new 450/3 prop from Dasboata that he cut down to 47mm for me since the 447/3's aren't being made anymore. Just need some cooperation from the weather...

I'll be working on my Voracity more when I get through with the Zelos, I have that same prop but RAW and I know I can't do it justice, let me know how it does.

I repaired my AQ Motley Crew (p-limited). Last Sunday I blew up my previous set up with stock AQ ESC and upgraded w/ AQ 2030 (UL-1) motor w/ Octura M445 (Boat ran flawlessly!!)... that went up in smoke so tore out everything and added the new set up w/ DYNM3835 1500kv motor w/ Turnigy 120a esc and slightly larger prop m545!

50 degrees in February here in S.E. Ma. are you kidding me. I ran two boats today. Ran two batteries thru the BlackJack 24". Test #1 Octura 442 prop = GPS 31mph. Test #2 Prather 215 prop = GPS 31mph. Also ran first test with my OPC Hot Shot Sprint on 4 cell, Prather 215prop = GPS 42mph.
