Returning it is not a solution...since i personally don't have any experience with it but i searched and read that the experiences and opinions of racers that have been running that particular rc boot found it hard only in the beginnig once you get used to it .....it always a fun for u.

I have that same mount with a CC1515 on going into a Cheetah hull. Bolts up nice and you can use all 4 screws in it.Originally posted by tlandauer View PostLove to see them, I don't want to bother you all the time but I will have many questions to come, so many thanks in advance!
Thanks for the heads up on the motor mount, I always did wonder if the " Leo Mount" would work for the 1515. What about the new angled aluminum mount? http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=ose-80902
Wow, I forgot you are running 5s2p, the boat must be a rocket, I may do that later, I am a bit conservative since I am too aware of my limitation.Modified Jae21, Stock Jae21, Cheetah, Ul-1, Shock Wave 26 V2 (Rescue Boat).

Thanks, they look great, I got to think last night that the paint job you did was really fantastic, good thing I wasn't planing to do it though. However the front where the halves join ( one can only see this if the hull is flipped over ---bottom up) does yours have alot of epoxy/putty like substance? It smells like Bondo Body filler and it I use my finger nails to gouge it, it feels a bit "soft". It doesn't bother me but I wonder I should paint it over.
Love that sub hatch idea, you got that bubble ( bottle) glued on real smooth.
Did you make a slight "S" with you stuffing tube?Too many boats, not enough time...

Thanks! Good to know that all four holes can be bolted up! I like this mount but I am afraid with my level of skills I will need every bit of adjustbility I need to line up the motor shaft and the cable.Originally posted by SirBudman32 View PostI have that same mount with a CC1515 on going into a Cheetah hull. I just rec'd a MM18 direct from Aeromarine from the dicounted section.$110 total w/hrdwr. Hull is in excellent shape. Some graphics are scratched, but I'm going to remove them.Hrdwr needs cleaning since it's stained but is in good working condition. Also had a new nitro eng installed. This boat is not a cust return as the eng has not been run and the exhaust never installed.I emailed tAeromarine for info about boat before I bought it and was told the hrdwr was stained. That's the only damage on this hull.Above price is delivered to Fl. I'm going to install elecs in this hull.Something new for me.

I am doing some prelim. mocking up. perhaps I will start a build thread, although it won't be of any contribution. Purely for my own knowledge gaining purposes.
Anyway, before that I have had a question ever since I got this hull, I did not want to bother anyone but my curiosity has gotten the better of me. If you look at my pics. there is a thick and gooey filler underside of the hull joint line and at first I thought the epoxy wasn't cured but upon closer examination I think it is just putty, you can carve it with finger nail and leave a line. I don't mind it being there but I wonder for those of you who have this hull, was it the same or different? If the same can you paint over that stuff? it is still soft and I can't really sand it to make it smooth.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That could be mold wax from the casting.

Yes, They use it so it come out of the mold easier.
Like Pam for cooking,
I just bought a Pursuit in the swop shop,
But did not see the damage on the bottom till now.
I think it will be ok.

Can you fix it? You know, that is funny, my Pursuit hull's bottom under the battery tray there is a little uneveness, you have to look at it under the right light and angle. I think the previous owner tried to remove the battery tray by heating up the epoxy and over did it and caused some sort of warpage, good thing that the hull is out of water there when running. It seems the more we look at the hull the more imperfection we find.

I saw it in the op pictures, He is getting out of the hobby and need money.
Take a look and see what you think, See if it looks like yours on the bottom at the bow starboard side.
Almost any thing can be fixed with the right hammer.

Mine is right at the V ridge at about the same spot. Can you use Bondo body filler and smooth it out? I trued my MG and really was smooth, just mix some and do a practice run before you apply to the hull, that Bondo stuff cures fast and the ratio of mixture is not an exact science like how we mix epoxy in a measuring cup. You have done so many wonderful repairs and mods that this should be a piece of cake for you.
Good luck!
