No that's not my dad just a good friend that sold me a LeeCraft XT460 years ago and it was my first hull and we hit it off as good friends and we have helped each other out of a few jams giving each other stuff that we needed and was hard to find.
To be clear it was not my intent to make anyone think I have an axe to grind with anyone period and I just did not care for the whole part about everyone telling me I'm over reacting they have not even seen the Hull,and you know it's not the gelcoat at all that has me upset I could live with it just fine if there was not a crappy repair job done on it and also not sure if I mentioned this as well but there are 6 spots going down the edge on each side of the hulls seam's that have a thick build up of gelcoat on the seam and it can be sanded off as well but even if that was the olny thing needed to be done I would still need to paint as the gecoat would still get messed up.
Guy's please keep this thread positive from here on in I really olny wanted to say I got my Hull and it was ruffer then I feel it should and that it was fixable and although not thrilled with the finish I was going to paint it because that's the olny way to fix the bare spot in the Fiberglass and yes I do think I forgot to mention about the crappy repair even after it was fixed still being able to see bare fiberglass.
I also heard back from kintec and no he did not drop the hull it was that way when it came in and a few others were as well and expressed lately they have been hit or miss.Also to everyone that is saying that there finish is great and you got it years ago or even just lately it does not mean that because yours showed up looking really good that they are not also letting standards down when it comes to the finish a bit.
To any Mod reading this Thread if it keeps going in a negative fashion on ward please do not lock this Thread Please do not give out warnings and do not ask me if I would like the Thread locked just delete the whole thing and make it go away as this is not what boating is about and I'm sorry if the way I expressed myself did not help in making people think I was over reacting and I would like to say sorry and please let's just enjoy this forum and not argue about a stupid hull it is what it is and I'm not thrilled about it but as I said before it olny some sand paper and paint I'm just overly thrilled about but I can live with it.
