Also this is the last time I'm saying anything in this Thread other then those Picture's give you an idea of what's wrong but it look's alot worse up close and in person the Camera does not capture it as bad as it really look's,and a far as the Gelcoat goes I have seen many AeroMarine Hull's unfinished sitting there in Hobby Shop's that I used to deal but not anymore and the Gelcoat is to about the same standard but I have never seen AeroMarine repair a Hull like that and the White does not even match, but it is what it is and that means some sanding and painting.

Bottom line you get what you pay for,, AM make great products and has supported this hobby for over 30 years, with great products,, more then 75% of the boats out there are copies of a AM boats !!! Your post sounded like you were bashing them !!! AND THE BOAT WAS ALOT WORSE !!! this is a hobby and some little thing like that on a boat would take 5 miniuts to clean up, you have hobbies to do things in your spare time, now you have something else to do , it's all good , wrap some 220 around a small block of wood and sand it out !! good luck Chris

Well, guys, because of this thread and all the good traits I heard/read about the MM, I ordered one a few weeks ago. Steven was kind enough to contact AM for the color I wanted since it is out of stock here @ OSE. To my joy when I came home this afternoon the package was at the door.
The hull is beautiful, the gel coat is first class, I wanted yellow and did not want to bother with painting it. The hull is so fresh that I can smell the epoxy AM used to joint the halves! There is alot of the epoxy on the front seam so I think it makes it really strong. I was pleasantly surprised with this feature since one can't tell by looking at the picture.
Can't be happier, I know there is production variances and I am grateful that my hull is nearly perfect, the two tiny spots on the front sponsons can be taken care of with a bit of sanding and paint touch up.
I am really looking forward to the build , hopefully in late fall. Can feel the adrenaline pumping already!

              Thanks Dana,
Well, I read your build, I love what you have done, I have a Neu 1515 1y I can finally use. I ordered the hard ware ( the set you described, mono bracket). 4s2p, T 180 ESC. These are just prelim. thoughts for now, are they ok?

Thanks bro, I'm actually running 5s2p on the Neu motor with m440 and m640. I advise using Etti mount. I used to have Leo 4074 in it, with the mount to go with it, but the Neu doesn't exactly fit in the mount so I had to eliminate the ring. I may cut it out and put the Etti mount in.

Love to see them, I don't want to bother you all the time but I will have many questions to come, so many thanks in advance!
Thanks for the heads up on the motor mount, I always did wonder if the " Leo Mount" would work for the 1515. What about the new angled aluminum mount? http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=ose-80902
Wow, I forgot you are running 5s2p, the boat must be a rocket, I may do that later, I am a bit conservative since I am too aware of my limitation.

That mount would work, only drawback is no adjustability whatsoever.

I'm still using the Leo mount but it's sorta Gerry rigged.

I hear you. The other thing is the hull has a layer of CF, do i need to reinforce further?

Actually I lied, I did add some fiberglass in the front where the cf ended

Ok, that's good to know. That is within my capability, I never did anything with CF cloth. I always use FG to reinforce. Anyway, this is really great to know in advance.
