I get about 7 min of run time with about 50% left in the batteries. As for the 2000kv you should get high 40's easy with that setup.

Do you think the 2000KV Motor would get me close to that as I'd rather give up a bit of speed and get a bit longer runtimes.
i have a hobbyking 4074 2000 kv on 4s2p (gens ace 4000 mah 4s 25c packs) in a miss geico that is doing 50+. a 42x55 prop got me to 47.8 and with an m445 i got up to 54.3. Sure there is more speed to be had. similar size boat so i'm sure you could get 50+ in a MM. I don't tend to run longer then a few minutes at a time though.

What a coincidence...I just priced out the same boat, hardware and motor but haven't decided on the ESC yet. Now I figured using a 6S pack but it appears that everyone is using either 4 or 5S packs in parallel. I'm considering the Leo 4082 motor but haven't decided on the either the 2000KV or 2200KV. I definitely want it to run in the 50s.
Has anybody any experience with the ETTI speed controls yet?
Would an ABC H7 prop work with this set up?

I ran the etti 150 with a 4074 2200 kv on 4s, the caps bulge, get some extra caps for sure. Otherwise its a good esc, but the seaking is cheaper and a higher amp rating...
Edit: As for the prop I don't think that would be a good choice since the pitch is very high and the diameter is too big. If you want to run 6s2p try the leo 4082 1250kv. I am getting 55.4 mph out of the leo 4082 1550kv on 5s2p 10000 mah total m545 prop.Last edited by Rich; 08-20-2012, 10:42 PM.24 R/C vehicles and still counting...What budget?

Sorry to raise an old thread but I am building a MM now and I was hoping to use my Seaking180 and 4092 1430KV running on 6S most are saying it should fly but am I going to be too heavy? I ordered Kevlar matting and more fiberglass for the front ½.

IMO you won't have to worry about the weight with that setup. You will have plenty of power! Your boat will fly!!! I bet you will be able to break 60mph
EDIT: get extra caps for the seaking and start with a x445 or m445 prop or lower.24 R/C vehicles and still counting...What budget?

Dana m445 with my 1430? I was going to start with a x646. Also to get your strut up 1/4 did you have to take some material out? Mine is bottomed out with it flush. Just sees odd that they would boy have any adjustment for a positive position

Traeside, yes the m445 with the 1430 to start. I am running an m545 on a leo 4082 1550 kv on 5s2p and pulling in the 155-165 amp range. Do you have a link to your thread with some pics of the back end? You may have the strut mounting bracket too low?24 R/C vehicles and still counting...What budget?
