That's exactly how mine ran, plowed through the water the whole time. When I got on the throttle with the 1717 the boat actually submarined and NEVER fully got on plane outta the water. I kept dialing the trim tabs up and seemed to make some progress until I lost my flex (first time that ever happened) and had to call it a day. Scuffing is normally good. The way mine was plowing through the water though scuffing wouldn't make a difference, mine was def a trim issue. The bow was just being forced down. I think removing the trim tabs will def help. How much I am not sure. Let me know when you get those mounts. Hopefully next week I'll have the prototypes (half dozen of them) and start the Osprey build. Hmmm. Makes me wonder if I started a build thread on it... I think I did last year... I'm following this Vanquish thread closely as I have one here on the shelf that I want to setup as a sport boat 35-40ish and run it in the atlantic ocean here at the inlet. one thing to check out on the BOTTOM of the hull is a HOOK in it.
Lay a straight edge down on it and check to see if there is a hook in th ebottom towards the back of the boat.
If there is, then remove the trim tabs, RAISE the stinger up about 1/8" and set the stringer angle to about 1-1.5 degrees POSITIVE. (prop pointing up instead of down.)
It kind of sounds like they copied one hul for the deck and another hull for the bottom.
meaning, Delta Force for the deck and maybe Seaducer for the bottom.
Can't hurt ya know to try it.

I was wondering how these hulls are possibly straight without any rails. Even in the 33" hulls, it's hard to strengthen them enough to be straight without rails. now you know why the hulls are not breaking free and riding the way they should be.
Ben, Slot your stinger mounting holes and raise it the 1/8" like i suggested, remove of REALLY RAISE the trim tabs up so they are not really being worth anything, then chuck it out on the water and see what happens FIRST.
The bottom of it looks alot like a Seaducer. but it looks like it is more hooked onone side then the other!!!!!!! (might be just the camera angle also.)

Unless you make your mould from a plug that is straight its always a problem when they make their moulds as knock offs simply using a finnished thin hull as the master for the mould. I have checked one off the Osprey hulls which i believe is also a copy & its no where near as bad as that Vanquish hull, Theirs a bit of hook in the last 3-4" but only around 1.5mm at its deepest point.
