I'm bored so here's the multiple build thread

Well I finished one of the three cheetahs. Man there's so much little stuff to do and make on these builds that just takes forever. I make and thread my own steering rods. Make my own linkage boot fittings. Sharpen the rudder, sharpen and streamline the strut. Round off the leading edge of the drive dog. Put roller bearings in the strut and cut a snap ring groove for easy maintenance. I put a couple thousandths larger rudder pin to ensure no slack. I even drill water fittings larger so there's adequate flow for the cooling. All kinds of little tedious stuff that adds time to each build. Crazy. Well here's the interior of the cheetah. She ought to move with the neu 1530 and sf300!

I wouldn't be so quick to make water inlets bigger... = more drag on water. Plus you can always experiment with a pump if you need more flow. But at that point you're probably better off without rain drop inlets.

By the way, what do you mean by rounding off the leading edge of the drive dog?

I didn't say water inlets. I use rudder pick ups. Mainly the fittings if they are no big enough. I almost always drill the outlet so there's not as much restriction to blow hoses off.
