Installing stainless, flush hatch-bolts. Filled the rear corners of the canopy with G-Flex 655 and let it cure. Marked and drilled holes, with countersink for screw heads. I used the black screws in the pic's for reference. Stainless screws are being used instead of the ones pictured. I added a layer of carbon fiber with West Sys 105/207 to the underside of the canopy recess, in the rear corners where the bolts pass through. Next I'll epoxy nylon nuts to the underside for the hatch bolts to thread into. I like using nylon nuts because it keeps the bolts from backing out and makes a tight seal between threads. The paint on these KOS's is prone to peel off with hatch tape, so I need to line the rim with a foam/silicone seal of some sort to keep the H2O out in case this rig gets inverted. And I will be lining the canopy with one layer of 2x2 twill carbon, but I want to run it bare, first, for GPS numbers. So that will probably be the last thing done.
