That was me 5 years ago . I didn't do my home work when I went down to the SoCal SAWs. Each class has a mah limit so be sure there are no surprises with your batteries.

Travis go to section 28 that will give you the mah limits per class and the hull length limits. Like I said in my earlier post I'm pretty sure you can run that boat in classes P Q and S if you want just by changing Cell count and not exceding the mah limits. I have heard some talk about them not letting people run Revolectric batteries but then I also heard that they would as long as they were'nt charged over 4.20 per cell. So that I'm not sure about.

I don't think at this point I have any of those records in the bag. Q mono is 82.357 which allows 6 cells and mine runs 70 on 6 cells. I could do a motor swap but that's another 500 bucks that I don't have lol. I could likely get mid 70's on 6s but I don't think I can get over 82 with my setup now. I may play with some bigger diameter but low pitch props and see how it acts but I don't think it'll be enough. Maybe impba has some softer records but namba doesn't seem to.

Last I checked it was 240ish and sometimes 270ish depending on prop. Right now I'm trying to maximize what I have and make it more efficient. Just a rudder swap picked me up 3mph and I might can go even shorter.

The only NAMBA SAW events in the country are in California, which is why I assumed you would run in IMPBA. The S record is pretty soft in IMPBA, but that doesn't mean it will be at the end of the year, so keep that in mind. I still don't understand why we're even talking about Q or P. The boat isn't too big for those classes, but the voltage is too high. Theoretically you could put a different setup in it and run Q or P, but for that matter, so could everyone else. I'm not sure when the next Huntsville event is but that's probably the closest to you. There's an event in Flint, MI the first weekend in may. If you wannna fly out you can ship the boat (and whatever else) to me. I have a generator, tools, etc. you could use.

Thanks for the offer and that would be awesome and probably a great time....I just don't know if it would be doable any time in the near future. I might would be able to attend a Huntsville event a good bit easier but I'm not sure just yet. I've still got some learning and some work to do.
