The sharpie on the prop is awesome! Great way to identify props quickly. Love the flake paint job!37" Fightercat Shocker powered by Neu 1530 on 10S

A Y547 on a 1515 1y, wow, is that thing pulling major amps or is the prop cut down?? Many people I know only run like a x642 on the 1515 1Y.
I dislike metal flake but, it's a sweet boat to say the least.
Stuffing tube has a very sharp bend in it too, could be a lot smoother than that.

Thanx Ray, The tube was bent on a little mandaral bender I have it's really a nice uniform bend. I ran that prop on the Popeye with the same setup and it ran cool enough, usually around 120-125.Originally posted by ray schrauwen View PostA Y547 on a 1515 1y, wow, is that thing pulling major amps or is the prop cut down?? The Popeye is a different animal than this I would think being it's hull design is a good 40 years old. The Popeye packs a lot of air compared to this hull. Hopefully you don't burn anything up. I'm not slammin, just talking too much. With the popeye, you would have the prop high loke Doby correct? If so you would only be riding on the tips of your prop not a larger portion like you might on say a Whiplash or maybe this hull. I don't know Randy's hulls too much, only had an old Volcanic splash that was really cool.
Randy, what say you on prop choice? Am I way off here? I thought at best a 1y would only push up to a 45mm prop but, that depends on the prop and lots else like hull design. Maybe it's a 645 I was told, never mind I'm rambling because Larry is late and I'm Hangry.

You might be right Ray, I think I might back up some on the prop to start with. I can always go bigger, but it's hard to go smaller after everything is burnt up!Originally posted by ray schrauwen View PostThe Popeye is a different animal than this I would think being it's hull design is a good 40 years old.
