Did I mention I love these things ! This right side needs some negative added. Good thing I'm going threw the hardware bolts because it's all coming loose. I guess I will go ahead and use thread lock and use some sealant on the hardware this time, I was getting about a ounce or less of water in the boat during runs .

I went ahead and heavy duties up the clamping forces on the rudder and strut. I'm soooo over the stainless lock nuts, they are a PITA !

So the hobby guy at the shop talked me into trying the 5" 4-40 turn buckle for a servo rod, seemed like a good idea when I was collecting up my build do dads. Well the darn thing busted when I was readjusting it to work with my longer servo arm ! I had like three bends in it and was never really happy with the way it turned out so good riddens to it.
Back to old school style rod , my trade mark piano wire, 4-40 threaded cuffs , JB welded inside and out and center punched and 1 bend. Best easy to do strong servo rod I can come up with, has never let me down in the past

My last run I swept back the turn fins and the boat seemed more stable . I swept them back to the max for my next run . I had to sharpen more of the fun doing this.

Here is the second vid. Putting the positive adjustment surely shaved speed but gained some stability. I am waiting on some new struts to come in so I can do another ride plate, I pretty much destroyed any chances of getting this strut right when I tried braising an aluminum one on because I sanded the perfectly machined contours of the strut trying to make it usable again. I'm satisfied all in all I at least got to run it ! Next ride plate will be more flush with the keel so there isn't so much drag, also the positive adjustment could be pushing more water away from the prop. I defiantly am liking the x642 2b. There was a barily marginal increase in esc and motor temps, there is much more room to push harder there

After getting some advice from a very reputable boater out on the East Coast it was suggested that I space the fins out to relieve some of the fin wash pressure, said I need to see daylight between the tab and fin or it can cause the rocking, I put a quarter inch spacer see how it goes. Also when a boat is at this level I needed to sharpen the leading edge of the rudder and round the back bottom, I put a very slight taper from the back to the leading edge. These couple things can make the difference on a boat this size when speeds start going over 35 mph. Basically he motivated me a little for this weekend

I figured while I was at it I would double the sharpness of the fins too ! The one on the right is the difference ... Keep the masking tape off your screens !

Well here the mods , more defined trim and water to the prop . Hoping for more speed threw the turns and straight line stability .... And more speed in general. Still waiting on my new struts , I have more positive than I want and I know it's cutting speed right now but there is nothing I can do until I make the hole threw the transom so that I can move my brass up and down , I knew I should have done that but I knew that I would be close ! I ready lol
